connection problems, help

hmmm did they like delete WoW forever cuz they won't let me on.... and I tried searching for the official website and it said could not be found :shocked: so ehhh tell me whats going on :hanky:

You do know that there is WEEKLY server maintenance on ALL WoW realms starting early tuesday mornings? Today's maintenance is extended, from 3 AM PST to 11 AM PST. Until it's over you will not be able to play.

My guess on why the WoW official site is unavailable is that there are A LOT of players on the site BECAUSE they cannot play.. they are on the forums and such. Thus, the site is laggy / not responding.

hmmm yea... but wouldn't they have it on the wow log in screen.... it just says its unable to connect... so just wondering :ponder:... thought my computer finally SNAPPED

Well, I can't say for sure but I THINK you should be able to login to the account itself.. but you will not automatically connect to the realm you usually play on; instead, you will be directed to the "choose a realm" screen where it recommends a realm for you. This is because the realm you usually play on is down for maintenance.

If you say you are unable to connect at all, I'd suggest either a) restarting your computer, or b) restarting your router/internet modem (just turn it off, wait for 1 minute, turn it on again.)

Alternately, you can just wait until the realms are available for playing again (which should be in an hour and forty minutes or so.) If you still encounter the "unable to connect" problem, and the two suggestions I made did not help, you might want to check out the WoW tech support forums and the customer service forums, assuming you can access the official website at that point.

Man...youngsters today....can't find a thing to do unless you can be glued to the PC for hours on end.

In my day we didn't have internet. We had to stay glued to the TV for most of the day. AND...we didn't have those fancy RE-MOTE controls. I had to smack my little brother and tell him to get up and change the channel by hand. :shocked:

I am regularly amazed by how people forget about maintenance Tuesdays. It isn't like this is exactly a new thing for WoW... at all. anyone who has played WoW for more than a week should be fully aware and cognizant of Tuesday maintenance.

Heh, I live in a town where the "only thing to do in it is go to Wal-Mart". That said, at least at your age, I knew enough to be able to read regular schedules and comprehend them (despite already writing games of my own, but I digress...)

In my experience, people who complain there is nothing to do, have simply taken what they have for granted, or are looking at the world with blinders on. There *always* is things to do. It just takes the most minuscule amount of effort on each individual's part to figure out what he or she wants to do from all of the different options available.

i get that problem sometimes, and its not just because of maintenance. i cant log on and the website would not work for me. it only happens when i afk, get disconnected, and come back after two hours at the mall. i resolve this problem by resetting the router. works every time. i dont know what technically happens, but a reset would fix things for me. try that.

k well back to my issue... servers are all up and running so far but.. now I still try to log in but says unable to connect :undecided: anyone having the same problem by chance... tried resetting my modem and restarting the computer but didn't do anything
