When is the new season?

I've heard that a new arena season is going to begin with the release of 2.4. If that's the case, then I'm going to start saving my arena points. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, when that will be?

It hasn't been officially announced yet, so all we're sure of is that the new season won't start before 2.4. It could start when 2.4 is released (and that release date hasn't been decided either, most people are guessing we're 5-8 weeks out on that patch), or it could happen later. originally, 2.3 was supposed to start with a patch, but got pushed back to a week after the patch.

Now, I wonder to hold my points or spend them. I was gonna get my S3 Pants in 2 weeks but since the new season will start, I think I'll wait. Any other people in this situation? What you guys plan to do?

It's too hard to tell so far. We haven't seen many of the items yet, and what we have seen, we don't know if it's final. For example, the S4 feral druid chest piece has the same armor, resilience, and armor penetration as the S3 piece. It's only an improvement of 7 STA, 14 AP, 4 hit, and 0.40% crit. The crit and hit are really the only tempting parts of that.

For my characters that are looking at picking up arena pieces for STA gear or for PvP, I'll probably just go ahead and grab the current stuff. For those that are going to be DPSing in it, I'll hold off until I see what I believe to be the final version of the rest of the gear. Even if it's just got a little more hit on most of it, that will make starting Kara quite a bit easier on my toons that I haven't been able to spend more time gearing up on.

As has been said, when 2.4 will be released isn't set in stone, and we don't know for sure if season 4 will start when 2.4 is out.

That said, most are guessing around 25 marts, and personally I'll guess that season 4 will be 2 weeks after than - which means around 8 of april.

If this holds to be true - that season 4 will be here in around 6 weeks, I think it's smart to start saving.

While I haven't seen the comments myself, people that follow the official forums have said that the devs have indicated that when an arena season starts that involves upgraded gear (not all seasons will), everything shifts down one. So S4 will be available as S3 is now, S3 will get a small cost reduction and a removal of the rating requirement, S2 will become available for honor, and S1 will no longer be available if you don't have it already.

oh boy, JUST when I finished getting my season 1 gear itll be outdated, lol

But that's cool, because BG queue times will get hot here soon for us and we can start saving mucho points and marks.

Man, I hope S2 will be available for honor. (Im sure it probably will be.) The S2 for warriors is awesome looking.

Seasons always start 2 weeks after the patch that contains them. Its to give everyone a chance to know their coming and to prepare.
