So I just tried out BG's for the first time last week on my alt and got pretty hooked, and now i'm wondering what the best plan is for my main (63 rogue).

How hard is the 70 bracket as a 70 noob? Am I going to get decimated in the same manner as a level 12 does in WSG, or is it more like a medicore equipped 19 vs twinks? Is it better to stay at 69 for a while and equip up a bit first or just take the plunge into 70?

If I could do it over I would have stated at the 69 bracket for a while longer.

@70 you will be going up against people in anything from basic greens up through S3 arena gear. It can be painfull. Your lack of resilliance early on will make it really hard.

I agree with Play.

My shaman is an alt (level 60 atm), but at level 69, he will be PvP'ng his arse off to get at least the S1 / Vindicator's pieces and some nice weapons before turning 70.

2.4 should make it easier to get some "ok" gear that you can start BGs with (based on your reputation level with the various factions), but it still won't equate to S1 / Vindicator's (that we know of yet at least).

Also.... in my battlegroup, 61-69 tends to win a bit more often than at 70, so it seems prudent to get more honor/tokens that way.

Eventually, the 61-69 bracket will be twinked out as well, so capitalize on it while you can.

Not until WotLK comes out IMO. I mean why twink out a 69 when your just one lvl away from 70? 69 is the last step in the journey of 1000 miles, might as well enjoy it, but not twink it. The 69 bg bracket is fun and in my battlegroup won more often than not.

Are the waits in the 61-69 bracket longer than the ones in 70?

depends entirely on Battlegroup.

i do BG daily always with my little pet priest , going 70 (66 atm) , my goal is to honorcap him before ding 70 so i can get my hands on some of the pvp goodies same day i ding 70 , and play him much on the various weekends to somhow maximize the honorgain (taking playtime from lvling must reward ) , i know how gimped my other toons was in BG (and arena) with just blue/green pve "crap"

I would lvl to 70 because you get much more honor points when you do BGs at 70. You are squishy when you just turn 70 so the best way to gain honor is to do BG premades. Pug premades will require you to have at least 200+ resilience so get into your guild premade if you are in an endgame guild.

After I hit 70, it took me 15 days played time to get 388 resil... It might only take 7 days for hordies...

Hi guys

So you get more honor points at lvl 70?

I just hit 70 and just did a couple of AV matches, we lost both times but still I seem to recall getting more honor when doing BG's in my 60s even is losing matches

I'm probably wrong but it feels like less honor.

You are in the 61 - 70 AV bracket and the honor point reward is no difference between 70 and 61-69.
