or use your debit master/visa card. takes it straight out of your bank account.
i'd rather use a credit card and pay it from my checking asap though, since i earn points through my credit card.

I will never again link anything blizzard related to my bank account by using a card.
If a [fraudulent] charge is made by them to your 'card'/account, they cannot even figure out which account it was made by...
Interestingly, they can track it if you use paypal.

wow, never knew. i usually keep my subs on a credit card because credit cards offer more protection than a debitcard. so if a seller cant get it right, my credit card co. will usually reverse the transaction if they see it as a mistake.

The key is "credit card company"....They certainly reverse the charge.....
But, blizzard can't tell you who used your card. their only option is for you to recite your account (which you already know didn't get charged, since it was renewed for three months 45 days before the fraud took place) and for them to verify it wasn't you....
Other than that, that can't figure it out....
This is an actual case, and was reported as fraud...and they couldn't tell anything, so Blizzard ate the charge....

ahhhh i see what happened. thats pretty sad on blizzards end for not keeping tabs on what cc pays for what account. being able to trace things via paypal only kinda baffles me too. so best to stick with paypal or credit card. or better yet, just get a game card from your local bestbuy/eb/gamestop/compusa/etc.
