Probably the strangest story I have ever read about. Especially since the facts are so strange...and the conclusion is wild. Anyhow, if your bored..read away.

We could all play a guessing game, and post our guesses of what we think may have happened to these folks.

Very cool I love these stories, I'm a proponent of Aliens to the point that I beleive one day soon there will be a "Big Reveal" from our government or many governements to the public. I'll post some interesting stuff here shortly, but for the moment check these out. I'm not some crazy UFO conspiracy theorist I just think there's overwhelming evidence out in the world, yes there's lots of fake junk as well, but there's some really believable stuff too.

The below link is pretty interesting, UFO or not it's interesting.

This link below is very interesting and actually happened . . .

Look up what he mentions in the story, this report is VERY interesting.

There is so much in the universe that we have no concept of. I don't have the first clue what's out there, but I'm sure its something. Maybe someday we'll find out...maybe not.

hmm...I'm suspecting that it was some kind of nuclear testing done by the government. perhaps the by products caused hallucinations, strange behaviours, excessive aggression...so forth. It could explain the "strange lights" (rockets being fired), the orange skin (chemical poisoning), and the strange behaviour (chemical poisoning again). You know how some drugs can make people have extreme strength, perhaps the fatal wounds were caused by this (I'm not sure how, but it's a possibility).

I do like the idea of aliens. I think it fits perfectly in with that. Although, why would they have found the knife holster and a piece of cloth? I think these are from a person of the government that heard tell of the missing adventurers and went to find them...I'm sure they could have covered their tracks up (although, if they were THAT smart, they wouldn't have left anything behind...THIS IS WORSE THAN THE LOST THREAD!!!)

Neat story...totally going to be curious about this for awhile :)

What are your theories rgirty?

This is a wonderful thread Rgirty.

Also, Look up Foo Fighters (Military designation, not the band). Interesting stuff from World War 2.

The story behind the crystal skulls is pretty weird too. I mean, they're skulls. Made of crystal.

What i cant figure out, is if it was the Russian government testing some kind of explosive weapon - then why was that one person's tongue missing?

I believe it was some sort of weapons testing. Even midair explosions of sufficient power and short distance will deliver waves of concussive force. The light, noise, and the sheer impact would have been overwhelming, delivered with no warning in the middle of a snowstorm. The victim who lost has tongue could have bitten it off himself, if one of these blasts was close enough to crush someone's skull it'd definantly plough thier jaw pretty tight, if tongue gets in the way, tough luck.

As for abandoning camp, large orange flashes could have been mistaken for fire perhaps, or some sort of attack, visability was down, so some panicked. Two groups formed, one running off one way, and the second group to this second camp, attempting to start a fire to keep warm once there. But realising they are dieing from hypothermia, the fire not being enough with a lack of clothing in a snowstorm, this group tries to make it back to the first camp.

Second group that had got split off in the confusion blundered straight into the weapons fire and got hit pretty heavily. Radioactive and chemical damage sustained, but the force involved in the blast was a leathal blow anyway.

It's one idea. I think it's more probable that the two parties seperated in the confusion at whatever caused them to flee thier own camp and shelter, than to have broken up into two parties at the small fire.

Aliens...gotta be. Cool story

I'm assuming this is open to additions. Here is a VERY strange story. Despite being disavowed there are sufficient witness accounts to at least suggest it could be true. I think so. Tesla was a genius (and is believed to have been the director).

Simple rule of thumb - ANYTHING by Erich von Daniken is almost certainly not real. He is one of the biggest frauds in UFO circles.

Would like to see more stuff if anyone gets it though. Easily my fav thread :)
