lol well its not like you have to start all over if you renew your sub.
and even if you did hit 70 before your time expired, the same result would occur-you'll have no sub. so you wont be playing anyway. whats the difference between a 69 with no sub time, and a 70 with no sub time? sub=subscription.
lol enjoy the sunshine!

I think I lived in Europe for too long. When I first read the title, I actually was reading it with the Irish interpretation of the phrase "pissed".

Reaching 70 isn't THAT much of a thing.
Your guild looks and sees "Oh nice! His a 70!".
Then check your equipts and say "WTF IS DIS? OMGZ0R !!1!!111!!"
WoW @ 70 is a new world.

Get a credit card... to me WoW is free because I don't check my statements that closely (just glance for odd purchases) and just pay it. That way I don't even notice! Perception is greater then reality... If I had to go out and physically buy cards I probably wouldn't.

At $40 you're getting ripped off. Go to Walmart. I get mine for $28.99.
Also, I always have an extra one on hand, to give me a buffer.

ahhh the good old days of jr high... when i only needed $5 to last me the day... or less.
nowadays, that $5 goes to coffee and pastry in the morning. what a difference 15 years make.

Meijer also sells them around here for $30. They are 24/7 too.
Maybe you could collect cans along the road side to turn in for the deposit?
Or maybe sing and dance on the street corner?

Yeah that roughly equates to a night at the pub! Or have you been to the movies lately and ordered the $15 popcorn and fountain pop combo? Like I said slap it on the card and pay monthly, its a drop in the bucket...

Jesus!
I pay every 6 months with my credit card... automatic too, so I never have to worry about an expired message. I think* I pay less than $15/month as a credit card subscriber @ 6 months installments. It's been that long since i've checked on how much it costs me to play.

Pfft. 50 is nothing. Try 115-120 where I come from.
That's the cost of one of my university text books.
Wish Blizz would lower the prices for us Asians over here.

Not really if you pay per month via credit card. I don't know the exchange rate but in New Zealand its $50.00 for a game card (2 months) and about $22.00 dollars per month via credit card.
If you purchase in 6 month blocks via credit card then it is marginally cheaper I think.

In the South and Midwest, as well as New England regions in the US, I've seen a lot of 24-hour Wal-Marts. But out in the West & South West, not so much. I found *one* that was 24-hour in LA County, and that took some effort.
To my knowledge, in Europe, they almost always are not 24-hour, since a lot of the cultural makeup of the various countries there don't really find that acceptable.

they are not 24 hour in canada either. I am thinking about keeping my summer job throughout the year, it would take alot of game card stress off...

The Walmart in my town is open 24 hours a day. It's really wierd when you go there late though. It's kind of spooky.

Some of my fondest memories was going to Meijer at midnight (pre Walmart days). I'd ride around on their bikes, jump on the furnature and play with all the toys. Then I'd buy a box of icecream sandwiches and scarf the whole box. (if I wasn't kicked out by then)
You guys are missing out.
