Just go to a local store (office supplies, furniture, ...). I have some trouble understanding why you think a game forum is the best place to ask this question.

because we probably sit on office chairs to play our games? iono.

anyway... i use this at home and it never fails. except for that one time where i was stretching and the plastic cracked. oh well replacement was cheap.

I've had the same problem. My office type chair broke (which cost be £360.00 btw) which was pretty comfortable (adjustable every which way you could imagine) but clearly wasnt' worth the money I was ripped off paying for it.

I'm looking to replace it but I don't want a regular chair. I've tried taking an easy chair and nicking the big bottom cushions off a sofa I have to build it up. I can sit forward when working properly and slouch back like a lazy blob whilst playing. What I'd really like is a chair that can bring round a platform to put my keyboard and mouse on also. I've looked for something similar that's actually manufactured and anything that gets remotely tailored for gaming starts to get silly money. "I saw you coming" money.

Has anyone else rigged up some sort of comfort gaming chair at home?

I'm guessing he figured that we as a group spend more time in front of our computers than the average person, that or he may have meant to say "gaming chair" instead of computer chair.

I like bean bag chairs. They're comfortable, cheap, and you can squish them and put 'em under your bed when you don't need it :P

I doubt it, it's probably well over a grand before any extra monitors etc, but hey, if $500 is a cap for the OP why not go all out and spend $1,500+

Me too. You could play games of your choice and hold a dinner party for at least 5 guests whilst plotting world domination! All I need now is a fluffy white cat. Yeah baby ;)
