yes you will be good enough but you wont be as good as you could be in pve gear. pvp lacks a lot of stats that pve raiding needs to have. its fine having a mix of pvp and pve but pure pvp gear is for pvp

In a few cases pve blues are better for you than pvp purps, but I've got a mix and my pve blues aren't the best. I do ok, but I want to do better in our group.

youll be lacking things like spell damage and intellect, but you will def have stam in your favor for the illhoof fight

If it's an affliction build then the only thing you'll be lacking is spell hit. The gladiator gear for affliction is almost perfect as it has stamina, spell damage and...that's it really!

The S2/S3 weapons are nice if you haven't done any raiding yet. Better than nice, actually. If the best you've got is a 121 spell damage weapon, or worse the battlemage staff, then an extra +100 spell damage will make your head spin. The Vindicator's neck piece and ring are also good.

Other than that, everything was a step down in +spell damage from my PvE gear, which except for the frozen shadoweave were quest rewards or BoE tailored. That said, I did take the Vindicator wrists, losing 1 spell damage in trade for 41 STA was acceptable :-)

Other than that, most things are anywhere from a small step down to a large step down. Sure, I would have only been losing 5-16 points of spell damage per slot, but that adds up fast over 12 slots. You can probably still pull this off in straight PvP gear, but you won't be as well prepared as someone who's taken the time to gather the really good non-raiding PvE gear.
