Best raid ever

Well last night was our best raid ever. After 2 weeks of attempts on Kael we waltzed into TK and downed him first try, not content with this we went to (a cleared) SSC and downed Vashj on the 2nd attempt. With the raid now fully attuned we went to look at Mount Hyjal. After a lol worthy ninja talk to Jaina and subsequent wipe we managed to one shot Rage Winterchill on the first proper attempt.

After that about 12 of us completed our BT attunement. We went in to have a look, one shotted some patrols, got a few hearts of darkness and called it a night. So Kael, Vashj, Rage Winterchill, MH & BT attunement and a peek into BT all in one night. Great success :grin:

my best raid, well, I was stuck on the sidelines, some of my gear was junk, had bringer of death etc.

spent a week on Slabs grinding LC rep, got the LC weapon, got it enchanted, got some other gear, basically increased by bonus spelldmg by over 200, finally got into a raid for more than a few minutes, we blew up SSC and I got the Tier 5 helm

why was this my best night? because I had put in alot of time and effort and I got rewarded for it, it felt good to see my efforts becoming worthwhile and to get to experience a major raid boss fight for the first time

I also got to be a part of our guilds first attempt on ZA, which was really cool, first time I got to be one of the first to experience something, it was fun if not grueling, since ZA is not the most pleasant place in the game, and I got the Wub's Cursed Hexblade out of it too

Thanks Rotten :) Kael, Vashj and Rage Winterchill were done within our usual 3 hour raid. Those of us who could get attuned to BT decided to stay an extra 30 mins to do that and have a quick look inside.

Oh, so you had up to Vashj cleared before you went in? I was under the impression that you killed Kael, cleared all of SSC including Vashj, and then Rage Winterchill! Now THAT would be a long raid!

My favorite raid was pre-bc, my guild had been on the second boss in bwl for like a week. After wipe after wipe after wipe, it went down, everyone was screaming in vent and the fact that everyone in guild was a good friend made it that much better.

our tanks kept messing it up with the taunt rotation. ebonroc healed himself up again and again and again.

i think it took over 25 minutes to kill him. boy that was exciting ^^

i miss the days of exciting nights learning and downing new content.. looking forward to sunwell and beyond. As of now it goes.. 1 night in hyjal, 1 night bt, squabble about loot.. farm, farm, farm, arena, farm.. repeat

For me, it was still the first Nefarian kill. It had that classic epic progression boss feel. A deathly hush descended over voice comms, as everyone was so far into The Zone as to not need to speak. Everything meshed. Everyone was just discharging their role. I was standing in the sweet spot just out of fear range and just in healing range, keeping the MT alive and trying to inhabit my own bubble of calm as the zerg popped. It was one of those fights where everything went a bit bullet time, and we all a little disorentated when neffie hit the ground.

The howl of triumph on voice was... deafening. Then someone (with a very dodgy music collection) started playing "we are the champions" by Queen on voice :)

The best thing was that between attempts (neffie had a 15 minute respawn timer), the same person would occasionally play the A-Team music while we were getting to the end of prepping, just to motivate us :)

our first time downing mag was one of my favorites...i log on to find out they had wiped three times, came into the raid ready to go, they assigned me click duty, on something i had never raided before, i /slap the GM, and everyone else thought it would be funny, so 23 slaps later and 10 minutes, i got my t4 chest first attempt with me...since then, they bring me to every mag raid and we all give the GM a lucky slap

and one wipe before downing Nightbane, because the stupid mage pulled aggro.

Awesome group with amazing healing power and a great main tank. Plus a mage tops in boss damage.
