Play The game dilligently and normally without those scamming cheat books, and you should get there in about 2-3 months(which is INSANELEY fast).
Cheers!

Roflmao...
OMG...and true.
Currently racing towards 60 at a new personal record of 3 days 13 hours to lv 55 with good old fashion questing. Hooray for the changed XP rate...

HAs anyone noticed that with the change to the exp rates you out level areas a little too quickly? I mean I am not complaining but I just hit 33 with my shaman and already completed all the quests in Thousand Needles and they are now sending me off to Desolace or STV and both of them are a bit of a struggle atm.

Try poking around Hillsbrad and/or maybe Arathi then.

I hate...hmmm that doesnt seem strong enough. I DETEST! LOATH! ABHOR! LOATHE! DESPISE!!! STV!!! That zone is the absolute worst and I am on a PvE server!

Odd. For some reason I really liked STV. PvE and yes, I had some help when I needed it. :) I DO hate all those STV pages though.

Er....I disagree on your reasoning....If you get xp faster, if you do all of the quests, you end up in a place at a HIGHER level than you otherwise would have, and are overpowered for it.
My guess is that you left the earlier area without finishing the questlines.

Actually, I like the new leveling speed. Makes me feel like I can accomplish more with my myriad of alts. I typically play an alt until he/she is out of rested XP, then switch. Now, I can get a bit further, a bit faster because of the new speed.

Leaving quests, even skipping whole zones while levelling 60-70 is actually rather a good idea. When you go back and burn through the quests at 70, the gold comes rolling in :)

I know what you mean. I have a few 70's and a few 50+ classes coming up fast. Last night I went from 49 to 52 in 4hrs and think I covered all the solo quests in Un'goro Crater + one or two chains else where. God.

There is a free Horde and Alliance leveling guide on a certain site that cannot be named on these forums, both of which are updated to account for the exp rate changes from 2.3. The are VERY useful if you are interested in leveling fast while doing quests exclusively. Don't know if I can actually post the name of the guide so that you can google it on your own.
Oh, and for those who detest STV on a PvE server, all I can do is LOL. STV with no ganking would be the best questing zone in the game bar none.

STV is listed as a 30-40 zone. I completed all the quests in thousand needles (yup all I checked a few sites to make sure I didnt miss an npc anywhere) and I was almost 32. I decided to run to STV to start the quests there but everything was level 35+. The mobs were too close for me to pull solo. I decided to go back to ashenvale and finish a couple very old quests to ding 32 and I have been running around finding different grind spots to get another level before I go back.
I am actually thinking of just doing instances until 35 and then go try duskwallow since it was added while I was away and I have never quested in that zone before.
I am not one into using guides. I like finding my way around the game on my own. I enjoy the game more that way and its become less of a task and more fun to level.

I just went back to STV on my alts after years of being on my main only.
I got a big party together to fight Mok the Monkey. I remember how hard it was to fight off the waves of bad guys. So I got my 10 teeth in hand and talked to the doctor. Hmm he only wants one? I told my party to get ready. One monkey shows up. I warn that it's going to get harder. Another monkey shows up, we kill him. Ok now it gets hard guys. Mok shows up he dies in seconds.
WTH? That was my favorite quest ever! Now it sucks. :(
I love STV btw.

Yeah I really hate what Blizz has done with the easy questing in Azeroth. Another quest that they have nerfed is the Inferno quest line for Locks. It still makes my blood boil. *shakes fist*

Yep, it is just plain horrible the way Blizzard made the game more accessible to get more people to see the new content. Just flat out wrong of them. Everyone should have to invest months and months of gameplay, since otherwise it isn't fair.

i hate pallys. i cant never win, even if they're lower level than me and at half health. i'd gank, in return i'd die after a heal/bubble.
i still have issues with pally's since my first thread a few weeks ago about my encounter with a pally.

Well, if you do, then I'll have to introduce you to the Bakka hammer.
But seriously, what I mentioned has been done before. Been a Mod for a while now, so it was a bit of an ah frell, not another one, and he seemed so promising, moment. You tend to get a bit cynical eventually, even if you do keep hoping for the best.

Making Sure everyone follows forum rules...and giving them the "ban Stick" *wink wink* if they dont follow them. Same as with every forum you go to. I'm Sure there is more to a Mod than just this(there must be) but im not a mod, so I wouldnt be able to tell you.
But I think thats what a mod is in a nutshell....well...at least to the posters at any rate

You'd have to go to Tanaris in order to get to un'goro, though the surrounding Silithid are somewhat annoying.

Rough overview already given by Valor.
There are some other minor things, but one would learn those as you go along with the job.
