When you refer to working over time as "grinding" so you can afford that new more comfy computer chair.
When you think that a discussion about the proper group strats in gruuls is dinner party material.

I seriously was thinking that yesterday on the way home in rush hour traffic.
My contribution to the thread:
When you use terms like "pwned" or "noob" while playing sports with non-wow playing friends....true story

Although I despise the term "noob" I do find myself muttering "fekkin' nab" at certain points when dealing with real life idiots ;)

"Noob at life" is my current fav term that gets the strangest looks from my none wow friends.

When you are fixing your hair to go out and you realize, that when put in pigtails, the cute new haircut you got makes you look remarkably similar to your Draenei... minus the horns :)
Also when driving down the highway and looking at the land traveling past you notice how much the weeds and plants along the side of the road look like silverleaf and peacebloom.

When you try to look up the numbers of your friends by their ingame name on your phone for starters. I really do it all the time.
My worst experience ever was during a conversation with a very cute girl I know. We were discussing an infamous preliminary course at uni that everyone has to go through. It's been changed a lot and is now only 1/3 term as opposed to the full term it used to be back in the day when I took it. She asked my if it was hard and I replied something along the lines of:
"Well, it used to be pretty hard, but it's been nerfed a lot.."
..trying to eat those last words of the sentence.. You do not want to let a girl you're trying to chat up know you play so much computer games you can't keep it separated from real life ;)

When you really do call people at work Nubs and Retards.
I only have my ingame friends numbers stored by their ingame names.

I've done that.
I sometimes wake up humming a tune from WoW, usually from the area I'd been grinding the night before.

When you're relaxed you hear the loginscreen-music in your head.
When you're done talking to someone and he's leaving you say
- (Male Dwarf voice) "Off wid' ya"
- (Male Dwarf voice) "Keep yer feet on the ground"
- (Male Goblin voice) "Glad I could help"
Or when they start talking to you and you open up with
- (Female Gnome voice) "Would you like to make a special purchase?" (I get the most blank stares w this one)
You use programs and various gear- and quest-websites to gather a list of gear to make you uncrittable and it's taking you longer than the /played time needed to actually collect the gear in question.
My wife plays wow on and off too and usually finds this funny, which is a relief. But it doesn't help me get it out of my system either .

I work with a bunch of the people I play with and most is dismissed but we jokingly refer to wow as "crack", "crack rock" or just "rock".
When you argue daily with the EQ nerds about which is better and end up converting one to the dark side.
When your mother jokes have wow refrences i.e. "I evicerated your mom last night" or "I gave your mom my hammer of justice".
When people in line at lunch take to long and you start thinking of what combo would kill them fastest only to look over at a fellow wow player to see him making backstabbing motions at someone with a fork and knife.

I'm now more of a longbow/recurve person myself but have had several compound bows in the past and fail to see the connection.

You know you've played too much WoW when:
You start drawing your gear instead of taking notes at college
A bunch of your friends fail an exam one after another and you say: "What a wipe!"
You are taking an exam and you think how great it would be to Fear your professor while you take a peek in your notes(which unfortunately now contain only drawings of swords and axes :D)
