The Emoticon Next to your screen name

Hi, I'm relatively new to the forums, and this has been bugging me for a while now:

I have a green smiley face next to my screen name on this forum. I've seen other people with yellow "unimpressed" faces.

I checked to FAQ and searched the forum... what does this mean?

so let me get this straight... green means the person is online. and the faded yellow not so happy blank look face means the person is offline... right?

will you ever see yourself yellow??
