Like the Title says, I do not play world of warcraft, but it is something I want to do. The problem is my computer is a piece of crap. So this is as close as I am going to get.

If I did have a character, he would be something like this

Name:Osman de Kalb
Age: 24
Race: Human
Class Rogue
Occupation: SI7 agent
Apperance: light skin (too much time in the snow), green eyes with blonde hair and a scruffy beard. slightly tall ('6"4) but otherwise average build. Wears average looking leather armor. Uses a saber with a long knife.

Backstory: Osman was born and raised on the streets of stormwind. His mother died in childbirth and his father is a disabled soldier, who died when Osman was still a child. Osman was forced to find security in a local gang. One day at the age of 17, he attmepted to pick-pocket a man who turned out to be a SI7 agent, who proceeded to kick his ass. After being thrown in jail, he was offered a job as an SI7 agent. Reluctantly, he accepted. Since then, he has become adept and the arts of espionage and fencing.

If anyone wants to join, post your character profile here and I will start the rp

Alliance, i assume?

Assuming the rp is along the way of WOW, he has to be alliance...human is only available to alliance.

yeah I am alliance, but you can pretty much be any race or class you want as long as you don't make a big deal out of it.

Another thing, don't be overpowered. Think Level 20

Name: Hector Marvock
Age: 25
Race: Human
Class: Warrior
Occupation: Solider
Appearance: The tough solider persona fits Hector perfectly. A cleanly trimmed goatee sits on his face, while a mound of red hair, tied firmly in a pony tail, flops aimlessly while he runs. His blue eyes are cold, while a scar runs vertically down the left side of his face. Unlike other soldiers Hector always has his armor on. On his back a giant two handed broad sword rest while at his side is a smaller, more mobile sword.

Background: Hector was born around the time of the First War. Being the 4th child of a family mages, Hector always was the black sheep. In truth he had no magical talent at all. While both his parents were off fighting with the Alliance, he spent many of his days with a High Elf tutor, who struggled to keep up with the rebellious youth. When Hector received the letter that his parents died, conveniently falling on this 18th birthday, he abandoned his home in Southshore and joined the Military of Loderan. Around the time of the purging of Stratholme, Hector abandoned Arthas and returned to Stormwind with Uther. There he has been part of the Stormwind elite guard.

Personality: Hector is a very outspoken person, though he doesn’t hesitate to throw in a joke from time to time. Hector always has a cigarette in his mouth. Though many people tell him that it is a bad habit, he reaction is always the same “eh…. Its something to do.”

Hope this is good enough for your RP. Haven’t RP’d for awhile so im a little rusty.

Clarimonde De Nemesio
Age 21
Human paladin
Hair, brown. Eyes violet.

Clair is the only child of a noble family, who ended up with the Order of the Silver Hand after her father got into some legal problems and gave custody of her over to them. Although she seems small and fragile, in reality she is healthy as a horse and easily as stubborn. She is a competent enough paladin, but her strengths are more as a teacher/archivist than as a headbasher. Usually possessed of a sunny and even disposition, she can turn moody, and occasionally even whines. Not beautiful, she is pretty instead.

Hello! I'm glad you started up an rp Grandmarshal I think everything else is dead. Can I join? I've been deciding which character to use; I think I want to start with the below one. Here's his resume.

Name: Tanion Silvercap
Race: Human
Age: 27
Class: Mage Adept
Occupation: Vagabond

Summary: Tanion is sturdy man, of fairly remarkable appearance, this is not on account of his once noble features, nor of his eyes, which appear as a bronze gold, an inheritance of his father’s. But the fact that he has at point in his life, been bereft of his right hand.

Tanion flatly refuses to discuss or even mention how he lost his hand, but most seem to be of the opinion that it was bitten off by some unsavoury ghoul when the Undead Scourged Dalaran.

He favours a long dark travelling cloak, which he wears over modest brown leather garb which appears to be made merely for travel, and not for combat.
His cloak has the iconic mage collar, which he tugs around his face, revealing only his shaggy dark hair to those watching him pass. His outfit manages to convey a sense of secrecy that might have seemed out of place on most people, but it seemed to perfectly suit this recluse stranger with one hand.

Background:
Of his past background, Tanion is reluctant to speak of, though rumours abound in the Inn that he often frequents.

According to the less than reliable ruminations of grizzled veterans of the Inn’s tap, Tanion was once a student at Dalaran. But when the Scourge swept through Lordaeron, the man barely survived. When he had recovered, hiding from the minions of the Scourge, and snatching food and sleep where he could, he found himself at odd ends.

His family, he was sure, had already fell victim to the Undead; he was adrift in a world that collapsed around him, he had no place to go, and even now he was harried mercilessly by Undead. He survived only because he escaped and hid, not because he fought.

Other than that, even the creative faculties of their ale burdened minds were stretched, and although they would speculate, none would offer a clear opinion as to why the man was so adamant against the mages which had also survived that day, or why he would not suffer their company.

As a result, the magical powers at his command are still weak and untrained. Crippled in both body and spirit, he wanders the roads between taverns and inns, endlessly seeking something. What he seeks none but he knows, and every step and every day was a struggle, with himself more than anything else it was surmised. He would perform rudimentary feats of magic and illusion for children and villagers when he arrived, and refused all payment. He needed only a place to rest his head and for this, he was never left wanting. But inevitably, when night fell, the villagers would be startled from their beds by a terrified scream, that unnerved them, and he was always gone by morning.

Despite the reputation for being aloof and somewhat strange, his tricks and stories were always eagerly anticipated, and some found his reserved nature charming.
Sometimes, when prodded by impatient children, he would tell them stories that he himself had been told as a child, and sometimes, without seeming to think about it, he would tell them some of his family’s stories.
Such as how his family earned the name Silvercap. His father would often regale him with the tale of their clever young ancestor, and how he would constantly outwit the arrogant court of ancient Strom in pursuit of the lady he loved, always with that ever present silver cap in his hands, as his heart was in hers. The little girls would smile happily at that, as the boys would either groan exaggeratedly or roll their eyes, but they listened attentively nonetheless.

Equipment:
He seems to have little in the way of possessions, content to travel as a rootless vagabond; living off his meagre talent and his luck.
Underneath his cloak, it is sometimes fancied, by those who knew the man, by sight if not personally, that a faint gleam can be glimpsed. Though what a mage, however untrained, would need with a mundane weapon was a mystery. And one they were happy to speculate on.

(Never done a RP before, but would love to try one)

Name: Katherine Boray
Age: 18
Race: Night Elf
Class: Druid
Occupation: Apprentice

Backstory: Born to two druid parents, Katherine had her life set in mossy stone from the moment she emerged into this world. Her ancestary, which can be traced back to Malfurian Stormrage, gives her druidistic powers an edge over others who are of her young age. Her parents, druids who value restoration of nature of nature as the major druid practice, are alarmed at her enthusiasm to shapeshift to become a bear, and have sent her to Stormwind to use her particular talents for the cause of the Alliance.
After ariving, she continued to master the arts, and when her master determined it was time, she became his apprentice.

Appearence: Long, straight, Blonde hair made her stand out amongst the elves, but in Stormwind it is her height that brings her out ammongst a crowd. Because of the commitment to nature of her parents, all of her clothing seems to have a connection to the earth, be it a saying or a drawing. Her armor is leather, made by Katherine, who love the intricate designs possible with leatherworking.

Hooray for an elf. Now just one suggestion. Im not trying to be mean or act like I know everything about RP but you should consider changing the age of your elf. Because 18 is like an infant to the elves while say 180-200 would be more of an teenage....age. =D

Drakkor
24-04-2008, 08:06 PM
Name: Theridan
Age: 40
Race: Dwarf
Class Hunter
Occupation: Hunter/Skinner/Leatherman
Appearance: Stocky build, long sandy hair and beard he prefers to keep braided. His skin is a bit lighter then some but not too light. Dark brown eyes with a mischievous glint to them. As with most dwarves he is very strong but prefers to avoid conflict when he can. He likes a strong Ale and good food along with a nice pipe and good friends.

Backstory: Theridan was born and raised in Iron Forge with his mother and Father. His mother is a sturdy woman with a kind smile and warm laugh trained by physicians to care for wounded when called upon. His father is a guard in good times and a warrior in times of battle. Theridan learned much from both his parents before befriending a night elf that taught him the ways of a hunter. Unable to live behind the stonewalls of Iron Forge Theridan set off to hunt and skin to make leather armor and sell his pelts and armor where he could. He always wanted to make his way to the Hinterlands to learn the art of flying the fabled gryphons. Hopefully he will make it one day.

Name: Everlin
Age: 1800 (elf :P)

Apperance: short brown hair, shimmring eyes (you know the kind of eyes like the high elfs in warcraft III) wears apprentice dress to the preists… though it has higher armour. Uses a staff for near combat.

Backstory: she was born and raised in Nortshire Valley by the humans there, her true family she knows nothing off. She has gone in preist training in Stormwind though some of her fellow priests grow jealous of her devotion and connection to the Light. So now she is stationed outside Darnasuss with a male Nightelf warrior named Suiadan, who believes that he himself is Gods gift to all woman, with the duty to watch Denalan and his work. They live with Denalan at his camp next to Lake Al'Ameth.

Hey guys, I'm really very sorry about this, you've been waiting very patiently, and I apologise profusely, but two things have come up which have stolen my attention completely, my story writing has also been left in the wake while these two situations resolve themselves. As such I cannot promise prompt updates or posts. I'm completely enthusiastic about continuing the RP and storyline, and I'll try to find a couple of quiet moments in the day to do so, but can make no firm promises.
Very sorry.

this is pretty cool, a couple of questions.
How true to the actual game is this e.g. if there was a horde character introduced would they be able to go to an alliance town?

if i was to introduce a character and for instance they are on the bloodsail ship would the story line be pushed in a direction that my character would meet your group or would u sail by waving?

or is this the idea behind this that the story wraps itself around the characters?

GrandMarshall
20-06-2008, 08:05 PM
well, I was planning of fighting the blood sails, but if you want to be on the ship as a captive or something, we could bust you out.

That's my idea anyway.

killer frog... your forest troll could be injured or something and well I can get to twilight shore or somthing, if I heal you, you could be in debt or something similar since this is an ally thread I bet we could trust you more, seeing that you look reallt similar to the other trolls of the horde... just an idea. OR! you can be on the boat and fight with the others earning trust, you snuck in or something. sorry I have too many ideas... I like the boat thing best I think.. hmmm

Hey, I just joined the forums, think I could get in on this?

Name: Monkuta Jakys
Age: 21
Race: Human
Class: Rogue
Occupation: Assassin for Hire/Experienced Sailor
Appearance: Very tan skin, long blond hair stretching half way down his back in a ponytail, bright green eyes and a small goatee. He's a bit on the skinny side and very short. He wears thing (but surprisingly touch) black leather padding. He carries two rapiers in sheathes on either side of his waist, as well as very knives hidden all over his person. The majority of his face is covered by a hood that doubles as a mask with a hole in the back for his hair to come out.

Back story: Monkuta had a normal childhood. He had various friends and went to school with all the other children. His father was a paladin of the church and his mother stayed at home and took care of him and his younger sister. Monkuta always dreamed of the wide world though. His father thought this dream could be satisfied by teaching him the holy ways, but it failed. One night, when Monkuta was about 12 and his sister 9, he and his sister ran away from home (fully expecting to return after their lust for adventure was satisfied) and sneaked onto a ship heading for Theramore Isle. There, they befriended the crew, learned about swords and sailing, and began to enjoy their new life, causing them to contemplate not returning to Stormwind. A day before their arrival at Theramore, the ship was attacked by pirates. They were able to escape the attack, but afterwords, Monkuta could not find his sister. One of the crew told him that he saw her falling over the side of the ship but was too slow to save her. Monkuta insisted they turn around and search for her, but it was too late. (As far as Monkuta knew) She couldn't swim. So Monkuta spent the week in the city of Theramore mourning his sister silently, still practicing his sword skills every day.

Returning home to Stormwind nearly a month later (having to be complacent with the ship's various stops along the way) he ran through the city to see his parents. Upon arriving at his old home, he found the door bolted shut. He was confused and went next door to ask about it. His neighbors informed him that his father had died in battle, and his mother had slit her wrists out of grief.

These days, a normal man would say Monkuta had gone insane. He began killing for money, talking to himself in gibberish, and reading books about the afterlife, and the art of resurrection. Eventually, his strange habits weakened, becoming less frequent, until he gave up on it all together. Now, 9 years since the death of his sister, he sails the world, trying to relive the last few happy days of his life. He doesn't enjoy killing; it's simply how he makes his money. And perhaps it helps him vent some of his anger as well. He makes friends with the people he sails with, sometimes joining them for small adventures, but never really getting attached to them in any way.

Dakiter

I am not sure if it two late but I had these two characters in mind that I thought I would throw out there. I will try to catch up and see if I can find a place for a couple horde members to join the tale. If not I can always save them for a new tale.

Name: Dakiter
Age: 20 (Human years)
Race: Blood Elf
Class: Hunter
Occupation: Alchemist/Scout

Appearance: He is tall for a blood elf. He is handsome but his features are often hidden under the shadow of his cloak. His chain armor is more function then fashion. He carries two orc axes on his hips and a long bow. He is accompanied at all times by his pet and close companion Apex. A white gorilla who is loyal, understanding and deeply defensive.

Backstory: As babe his family was moved from the capital city of Silvermoon to Orgrimmar. His father was named as an ambassador to the Orc city. During the trip their caravan was attacked and only survivors were the child and a guard. The guard carried the child to Thrall and died soon after.

Thrall gave the child to one of his trusted advisors to raise and protect as his own. The boys youth was spent in the land surrounding Orgimmar. The only parents and sibling he has ever know are orcs and that is all he wants.

When he was old enough he began training as a hunter as he showed no magical gifts and was deemed to small to join the ranks of the orc warriors. He excelled and quickly raised to the level of scout. His master who was impressed by his advancing skills would take him on many of the advanced hunting and scouting trips. It was on one of these trips that he found the baby gorilla that grew to be his pet.

He is currently on his first solo assignment asked to travel and scout the alliance territories. During a bad storm he briefly stumbled into the felwood territory. He survived but lost the majority of his supplies including his map. He is now just entering the darkshore area.

=====================

Name: Akion
Age: 22 (Human years)
Race: Orc
Class: Shaman
Occupation: Shaman/Leatherworking/Skinning

Appearance: Stocky and strong, with the emerald skin of his mother and the violet eyes and hair of his father.

Background: The son of one of thralls closest advisors, this gifted shaman has been taught by his parents since birth of the ways of the nature and spirits. His mother worked with him on his skill with weapons and totems while his father worked with him on the ways of control lightning and healing. Unlike the average orc he was trained even as a youth instead of waiting until he reached the age of manhood. His life was strict but he did have one escape. His brother.

His family was asked to adopt the blood elf child and they were raised together. Even though he looked different they grew together as siblings and it did not take long for them to become inseparable.

A merchant caravan brought him the broken remains of his brothers supplies and he now sets off to find and return him safely home.

There is another one I will save till later if I am able to take part in this enough.
