Best/fastest way to get badges ?

Did a Kara clear yesterday in just under 3 hours =20(i think) badges seems pretty good , but req the guilds better geared tanks/healers/dps (we ususaly mix to gear up the lower geared ppl, got 4 or 5 gorups running weekly))

Is there any better way to farm badges (kara is just once a week) , Daily heroic ?
Just farm any heroic (SP comes to mind..fast as hell) ?

I wanna know what you do to gain most badges with least time/effort.

Mech is also another easy heroic to farm some badges.

Daily heroic gives anywhere from 5-7 badges if you complete it so that's a fairly good way to get them.

so , daily Mech is the **** ... to bad evryone is bored sick of it :grin: ... but some heroics are a slow and harder than Kara ...

Btw i havent done so many heroics after patch , SP is one of guilds favourites (fast!) but quiet low on badges , how fast is a HC mech run nowdays ? (with a good guild group in decent gear)

Didn't they nerf the badge payout in Mech. It used to be 6 per run, then the gatekeepers lost thiers, then the cache. Correct me if I am wrong.

Usually we come out with 4 badges if you get the 2 key peices for the box before thet lift.

The gatekeepers don't have badges now but the cache still does for a total of 4.

Botanica is (i think) the best in terms of numbers of badges with 5.

An experienced guild can easily clear Kara in under four hours (at the least) for, I think, 21 badges. This is the most efficient use of time versus badges earned. Even if you speed-clear Botanica and three other instances, you'll have lost time in travelling between them.

(And the gear from Kara is better, but if you're speed-clearing Kara or a bunch of heroics then we can assume you don't need it anyway)

Meh, used to 2.xx hour kara clears with alts, MH clears in about the same time with mains, and roughly the same time to clear ZA. Spooky, I didn't ever actually think about the fact that they take about the same time.. oooh :)

Anyway, in terms of badgers/hour- the fastest way when you're already saved to a cleared Karazhan is to get a solid five-person team who play together a lot, and speed clear heroics (30 mins or less is very doable with roughly t5 quality gear and some co-ordination). Five people with strong coffee and a lust for badgers can clear a couple of instances per hour once they get in the swing of it. It helps if they are on voice, used to playing together, and know the instance inside-out.

Kara, MH, and BT cleared once a week for awhile gave me enough for everything I wanted. Heroics take too long imo, and are boring, esp if you don't need anything from them.

But Bot gives alot, though is long. Mech is short and gives quite a few. Besides that, do your dailies, you can get a badge here in there from the packs. lol...

in 3 hours in t4 equiv gear me and a group of mates can do sp and mech in under 2 hours together but thats only 7 badges all told unless one is the daily.

Not much to add. My T4/T5 level groups clear heroics in 45-60min...which is about 5-8 badges per hour...a tad higher for the daily (we once did daily SH in 34min...that came out to be 12/hr). A 3hr KZ clear is 22badges, or 7/hr. There are 5 SSO dailies with 10% chance of a badge.

So my best advice is like moopy...get a solid crew and run with them often, do two heroics a day (1.5-2hr) for four days a week is about 50 badges a week. Throw in a KZ and a couple raids, and you can easily get 70-80 per week for 12-15hrs of play. But you have to be focused on it.
