Hey guys! :)

I have a few chars located on Proudmoore and Blade's edge :).
And I was thinking about moving them to a more active, dedicated, and more server with more raids and instances and alot of nice and mature people.

Do you got any suggestion?
I'd love it if you could argument for your suggestion so I get WHY I should pay $25 for a transfer to especially your tip.

Thanks guys!

Ok. the best server is one that its name starts with a letter between A and Z inclusive. Hope that helps.

idk but I really want to find out

Now to your question, the only way I can think of finding a sever like that is a full or high populated server most ppl on them are already in TBC

i dont know about mine. mine is really the only one i've been on. what you might want to do is go to guild websites and check out how organized they are. make a trial character on their server and talk to them. perhaps this will help you decide. i really dont know where else you can go. i wouldnt say come join mine since we barely started doing heroics. yea we're a young guild. anyway, good luck!

Pals are people who pay worldofwar.net to get rid of the ads, and get special privileges (like signatures) and the like. Bronze, Silver, and Gold are dependent on how much you pay -- the more you pay, the more options you have on the forum. I was silver at one time, but unfortunately had to cut my spending back a bit. However that might change in the future, and I'll go back to being a Pal... this site's worth contributing to/supporting in my opinion.

Older the server tends to mean it is a more populated server, which tends to mean that there are more 70's, which tends to mean there's more of a chance of people getting to more higher-end raids and such. Look for the older ones. Just be wary of the Ruin battlegroup... it tends to get overpopulated and forced character transfers a LOT. From basically every server on it that isn't named "Medivh".

I think one of the best things to do is roll a new toon on some servers you are interested in and level them a bit (like to 20 or so.) Spend some time in cities listening to the chat, see how healthy the AH is, do who searches of the various raid instances from the social panel.

Other than that, I can say don't bother with Moonrunner if you are horde. Tis all but dead. I swear Cairne (the new server) already has better progression than we do...

It might not be possible to move if the server is considered full...not sure if that is true with paid transfers too.

The way I heard of active servers (Burning Legion EU) is through recommendations from others who wanted to leave / left. Venture Co EU seems pretty active too, but so is my server. People seem to leave for different reason....sometimes because all guilds on an active server didn't accept them.

PAL? THere is a subscribe button, top right of screen :)

I don't know. lol.

As ppl suggested, you should create a lvl 1 toon on the server you are interested. Ask questions and check the AH there.

I am on Executus (PVP alliance) and I think it is a decent PVP server. I believe there are 3 or 4 guilds on my server finished the endgame boss.

The problem with this entire question is that most people play on one server, not try out a bunch of them. Your request is so very vague, that there is no way to answer it. Basically, you just plain need to do the research yourself on this... if you don't like your current server, shop around, like others suggested make level 1's on the servers that intrigue you, see what they have to offer (you can have a whopping 50 characters on your account, after all).

Even then, the fundamental problem is you'd be more or less judging a book by its cover -- what your first impressions are might not really be what the server and its community is like... in fact I'd suspect that to be more true than not.

That said, since most people play on one server, they have no real point of reference to compare their server against from personal experience, and everyone can talk a good game about what they like or dislike about their server, but at the same time there will most likely be a lot that is overlooked because yet again, there is no point of reference to judge by.

That's why I gave an extremely vague response the first time. Your question was vaguely written, and I felt it deemed a less than helpful response to accentuate the less than helpful question. When you specified more, you got more responses... but in the end, nobody can tell you how you'll like or dislike a server... and most people just plain have no real way to compare their server to another one to be able to list out the positives and negatives in any empirical manner to help with your quest.

as thorleader has mentioned, pick one close to you geographically. im in the west coast US, and my server is on east coast US time. thats a 3 hour difference, so i miss prime time whenever im on. by the time i get home, eat, and play with my baby, its already 7 or 8pm. that's 11pm server time. most of my population is gone, so i wont get to find others doing the same quests as me as often. some folks i see on have to leave within an hour and cannot do much with me. weekends are a different story. but being on a server where your primetime is the same as everyone else's primetime is great if you're into end game content. i seriously wish i played before prime time, so that i can play with the market better. its no fun playing the market after half the world has gone to bed.
