Nothing for the Horde?

I've wacthed the Wrat of the Lich King trailer, and if there EVER has been a quest specificly meant for Alliance Paladins, this would probobly be it, with mages at supporting roles for firepower. For the Horde however there dosent really seem to be anything except stand around while alliance pallies take all the glory. I dont know much about this Death Knight thing tough. I think the idea is stupid to have another charecter aftet that of your own(basicly playing two charecters)or if your holy Paladin turns into a corrupted Death Knight. I mean you spend all that time on making him as holy as hell, and then you have to turn him into a dark evil "supertank" Death Knight or else you wont beat Arthas. Sounds to me like this expansion may not be so promising for either Alliance or the Horde:sad:?

You don't "lose" a character, you unlock the class and all your characters remain untouched. Then you play a new character that YOU chose to make your main or not.

And since apparently all classes can be a DK there is exactly "5" in it for both sides.

Trailers can be misleading, news and Blizzard info ftw..

It won't require a (holy) paladin to be able to create a Death Knight.

Imagine the amount of newbie paladins just after the launch, if that were true... For Alliance, it might be somewhat bearable with their three different races, but eww, a whole nest of Blood Elf Paladins is definately a scary thought.

Yay, it's not even out, and some nimrod is complaining that it's unfair to the horde. As they say on the official forums (which this complain is horribly redolent of), "QQ more".

(Also, you don't seem to understand what Blizzard have said about how the whole Death Knight thing is expected to work)

Orcs were the original Death Knights.

Secondly, Blizzard has apparently stated that "any race" can fall to the darkness and become a death knight.

Thirdly, as stated...you will not "lose" your unlocking toon. Therefore, I will use my main, Damaris, tauren shaman, to unlock the quest chain to build a death knight. Death knight will be human named Clarimonde. Damaris will remain her happily raid healing shaman self.

Yep. I reserved the name on my server right before I posted the fan fiction with her in it...I'd be sad if I lost it. Right now the name is attached to the least appealing character I could make (so i wouldn't be tempted to lvl it) just waiting for the day....

Hehe. Blizzard should make an assault on Gnomeregan along the lines of the SSO stages, so we could take that place back permanently. It would mean losing a grand and wondrous (yes...that's SARCASM!!!!) instance, but it would fill the gnome lore/content void and get rid of that blight.

what would be cool is if the gnomes did take back the city... but only half of it. then you'll have a fully functioning city with an instance inside.... kinda like.... ogrimmar.

Maybe it's not that bad that there aren't any Gnomes featuring the Death Knight promo material. I mean, picture a cute little Gnome girl with bright fluffy pink pigtails.. that just doesn't seem to fit the whole idea of a Death Knight.

If you read my post, it was a suggestion on how to get RID of gnomer as the "blight" it is. I hate the place so much that I have never taken my lvl 63 alliance alt there, ever. I'd be willing to participate in any event that cleared Gnomer permanently, and gave it back to the Gnomes as their captial once again.

I think my female gnome warrior has a new theme song. I had been using The Cardigans' cover of "Iron Man" for a while for the irony of the whole thing, but this is better.
