More profession questions

I went to Outlands and trained skinning, leatherworking. Bought the books for first aid and cooking.

My problem is now that I have to be 300/300 to use the cooking book. I thought I was but I maxed out bear burgers to 295/300. Now I've got to find something that will get me to 300. Someone told me that there was a recipe I could get in Silithus but I haven't been there so I don't really know anything about it.

I've got 3 recipes that could take me to 300 but they require fishing items that I don't have the skill for.

Should I go to Silithus to get that recipe? Any other ideas?

Simple answer is to go to the Barrens, sit by the lake outside the entrance to Wailing Caverns and fish. You'll get a significant number of Deviate Fish which can be sold for a reasonable amount in the AH. Just grind away at your fishing skill until it's at 300, then head to the Cenarion settlement in Zangarmarsh and learn Fishing from the fellow by the lake. Then head back to Azeroth, load up some lures and go fishing for those things that will get your cooking to 300 (I'm guessing Azshara).

Go to silitus, take the quest from the innkeeper, solve it and get the recipe. Level to 300. Should take 15-30 min. A lot faster than grinding fishing.

just buy 5... its about 5 gold.



oh and i think you can get the cooking recipes from Feathermoon Stronghold in Feralas from one of the vendors at the inn.

I've got the mightfish, salmon and lobster stew but not the meat...I'll make a run to Silithus...

Got 9 Mightfish on AH for 2g so 300 cooking now (only got 5 gains). Go Me!

when you go to outlands, the next recipe will be found in HH. the cook or innkeeper has recipes for ravager dogs. if you find the crashed zepplin (yes, another one) you'll get a few quests that will eventually give you the recipe for buzzard bites. once you hit terokkar forest and hit the Allerian stronghold, there's someone there that will sell you the recipes to cook basilisk meat and warp stalker meats. that should get you to 350 at the very least.
