Either works.
If you want to main tank, select a warrior.
If you want to switch jobs in the middle of the fight, go druid.
If you want to tank 15 mobs at once, go paladin.
Though 'good dps at the beginning' doesn't really suit the paladin class.

yea, like ive tried pally and yea its not good for dps at beginning like u said, but like usually in raids and instances, a druid just does watever, and yea ur warrior is ur main tank. But at its job, which class is better at tanking

Actually, a druid does not do whatever in raids because it mainly depends how you spec. Warriors for for main tanking, these characters have a very important job in raids. Some druids are also very good tanks in Druid form. In the beginning levels, I think a Druid would be the best choice for DPS because you can DPS in cat form, heal yourself, and even stealth through most quests. As a warrior, you can go Fury, but you will not be healing yourself nor using stealth.

I love my Dr00d. He's feral specced right now and gearing up into tanking, but knowing that I can heal a non-heroic instance by throwing on a healing set or dps a heroic by throwing on my dps set makes me feel good .
And if I happen to change my mind on anything: A change of playstyle is only a respec and some gear away.
I don't have time to level a warrior AND a priest to 70.

I'd pick druid for the same reason I am leveling my now-64 paladinto 70 instead of my 67 warrior: options. My warrior was my old main, and she was my main raiding character prior to the expansion. Believe me, there is nothing that feels more superfluous than being that one protection warrior too many. At least with a druid or paladin, there are other things you CAN do if you're specced for tanking and you're an "extra" in the raid.
We have both druids and pallies in our guild who are very good MTs and OTs. One of our warrior MTs is currently leveling up a druid with the idea that eventually he'll replace his warrior entirely, though not his role in the guild.

You just gotta be able to stand being a Tauren or Night Elf and levelling 1-20 as a weak combination of a low-dps mage who can turn into a low-dps prot-warrior.

I have both :)
I like my warrior more for tanking, it feels a lot more technical, I feel that there's a bigger gap between an average warrior tank and a 'Good' warrior tank, it's been reduced since TBC came out but it's still there.
Druids are also fun for tanking and it's a lot more casual, you just have 3 main tanking abilities (Most people disagree with me on this and list silly things). It's a nice break from what can be quite a hard job as a warrior tank. The best part about a druid tank is that you can still grind very efficiently as a Feral druid, it's the main thing I miss when playing my warrior.
I love both classes although recently being a warrior has become more stressful than it's worth in PuGs, they've seen paladin tanks holding agro on everything and now they expect me to do the same.

I tried using a pally and i m only level 9 and already do like 60 dps which i think is fairly good for only level 9, but when level 70 and specced into prot can they be also really good tanks???

Yeah, I think that Paladins can be good tanks. I have a level 62 Paladin and he does fairly well in groups.

Paladins can do fine as tanks.
They won't do fine as DPS for a long while.
