I decided to roll my first real alt recently. And I must say after using energy on my rogue for a year, keeping track of mana levels is a real challenge. However, I am totally confused by how Rage works.

Bare in mind I am only lv13 at the moment. However when in bear form, I'm clueless on what abilities to use, especially when half of them say I do not have enough rage. How do I generate more rage.

getting rage for a bear is like getting rage for a warrior, u attack and get hit to build rage

this really doesnt explain much. Ive never played with Rage, so the fact that a warrior has no relevance. Basically treat me like a noob and explain properly. Which druid abilities will increase my rage, and once its at a level what should I then do?

You start with no rage, and when you attack and get hit, you get some. You will have to auto-attack before you get enough rage to use your abilities such as Maul. You have to manage your rage much like your energy, only rage has to be built up and will decay over time. Afair the first levels is a mix of casting and going bear if you pull too many mobs. When you get catform, you'll most likely play your druid more like your rogue. At level 13 you have some talent points to spend and if you think rage is a problem you could take Furor.

You can get rage a couple ways

* Furor talent (in resto, for some odd reason) will give you 10 rage whenever you shift to bear. Wouldn't advise getting it soon though, unless you insist on PvP.

* Enrage ability gives you rage over time (and if talented, some instant rage too)

* Hitting stuff gives you rage. Note, Maul replaces your next white attack and costs rage to use while not generating rage.

* Stuff hitting you gives you rage. The more you get hit, the more rage you get.

* You can get 5 rage on a crit when talented for it.

The great thing is: the more you need rage, the more you'll be getting. If you're getting pounded on by a big nasty and you need to get him really pissed at you you need a lot of rage. Luckily all that pounding gives you a lot of rage and you'll be hitting all those abilities that you usually don't have the rage for.

This off course requires enough armor to survive. It's only at L40 (Dire Bear Form) that you'll suddenly REALLY feel like a tank and see your health drop reeeaaaal slow .
