Clefthide leg armour and soulbound items

I’d like to get a level 60 friend to enhance a pair of leggings for me with Clefthide Leg Armour. Now this will be easy with non-soulbound items, I’ll just give him the kit and the legs, he does the business and passes them back, but what about soulbound legs? If I put the soulbound legs in the ‘will not be traded’ box will my friend be able to use the kit on them?

Ah well. The only reason I would try to get such an overpowered enhancement is someone sold me a pair of level 18 pants enhanced with this for 35g, and even though I've found much better basic legs the clefthide keeps me in my 'crappy' dark leather. I'd like to upgrade but at this rate I'll still be wearing them at 59!

I recently levelled my twink and only replaced my Basilisk Hide Pants with leg armour patch when I hit outlands. At level 62 I still have my twink gloves with 15 agility enchant :)
