If you enter stocks with a lv15 (minimum level) and a lv70, you get about 30-40 XP on the start mobs. Does this increase as you get closer to the level of the mobs (around lv22-23 i think).

Which leads on to my main question, what is the best level to be below a mob to get the most XP (in context of a 70 boosting you)

I'm going to guess and say that in your example the greatest experience (although still minimal) would be at the same level as the mobs. I thinks it's the difference between your level and the level 70 that creates the greatest loss of exp, so cutting that margin down as much as possible (without going so far over that the mobs are gren or grey to you) should increase your exp gain. You could test that by comparing what you get at 15 with a 70 "boosting" (side note: I'm curious btw, is that a European term?), and then repeating it with say...a level 50 or 55 boosting you (at 15) on the same mobs.

However, if you really want to max your exp, get 4 other 15-25s and run the instance the way it's intended.

I can see where he is coming from actually. It can be difficult, at best, to find a group for some instances. Especially, one that doesn't get you killed repeatadly. I have wondered this myself and considered making another account to level on and boost myself with my 70. Thus no time spent LFGing, just gather up the quests and run it real quick then back to grinding.

I agree. If he just wants to run it for quests or for some particular drop(s), then using a 70 or whatever high level you can get is the way to go. But, if he's trying to maximize experience (which I assumed from the question) then he would actually be better off (experience wise) soloing in Westfall then grouping with a 70 in Stocks.

But, it's possible he was just trying to determine the formula for mob lvl vs. "boostee" lvl to get max exp when being boosted by a 70.
