When the "least favourite zone" card is played, i always hear Stranglethorn Vale mentioned as everyone's least favourite.
I love Stranglethorn, i think the area in general looks beautiful, i love the dense jungle, and coastal areas that DON'T have murlocs. And i LOVE Booty Bay.
Anyone else??

It's not that we hate the beautiful zone.
It's not that we hate the wonderful variety of quests across multiple levels.
......
We just HATE all the fracking running, running, always running.
It is pvp servers where the place isn't loved so dearly...Stranglethorn gank^^

You are asking who else shares your opinion....but you never state a zone you feel is worse, or your "least favorite"....
Perhaps you can state your least favorite to populate the topic a bit....

WEll i'm only level 43 atm, but my least favourite area has been Duskwood so far.
The main town at one edge of the map, and i hate dank, bleak looking areas. In general i thought the place was a bit.. dull.

I second the Desolace claim. That or Un'Goro Crater. Not because of the scenery, but because of the blasted Devilsaurs that inevitably sneak up on you.
But yeah, Desolace is about the most drab and dull-looking place I have seen in the game. Duskwood I like, there is an eerie feel to it, like Tirisfal Glades has -- land tainted, but not completely overtaken by the Scourge's blight. Desolace is... well a fitting name for the zone at the very least.

i never really liked northern and western dustwallow marsh. the area around mudsprocket and onyxia's lair is decent. i guess its due to lack of trees obstructing my view.

blasted lands.. god i hate that place
DWM is ok now with Mudsprocket..some nice and quick XP and the place makes a bit more sense ^^
Desolace is indeed very bad. If Ghostwalker post had a flightpoint..okay. Must be worse for Alliance with just that one town up north.
As far as running goes, Stonetalon is pretty crap as all quests for Horde take you back and forth across that long stretch.
Blasted lands are another area that doesn't make sense...at least it has the Dark Portal now..and Burning Steppes is just like tagged on to BRM. That is speaking for Horde...somebody must have quests for all the mobs there I guess...maybe Alliance? I mean..Searing Gorge works for quests after all...
Come to think of it, even Swamp of Sorrows is like 5 or 6 quests before you have to bugger off, because the murlocs in the cave are much too tough. And that is if you go there at lv 42...if You go there at 37 you might as well leave right away after collecting the Dream Dust...

Burning Steppes used to have a bunch of group/elite quests, which are now regular quests. It has become, from what I've seen of both Alliance and Horde, not that bad of a place for questing. Even if the highest-level dragonkin in the zone are Whelps.

Never once died to a Devilsaur. On any char.
STV is okay when not getting ganked, especially with the added flightpath now.
It does have murlocs though.

I love Stranglethorn. All those rope bridges, the beaches, the pirates, the trolls, the gorillas, the lush foliage, the terrain.. and Booty Bay has a wonderful end of the road out of the way feel. The Goblin statue welcoming you there is hilarious and fabulous!
As to what I hate: I will never go to Westfall again. Never. It reminds me of areas I just loath in Australia. It is DULL and realistically ugly. At least places like Desolace are fantasy-ish. Doesn't it have kodos in it?
I loved Tanaris, particularly the coast but in general the arid desert areas are very ick. I ran out of Hellfire peninsula without doing many quests and never looked back.. why stay there when I could go to Zangamarsh?
Never once died to a Devilsaur. On any char.
Poor Narina got eaten by one, but that was after her lag death..ending the Hardcore experience for her.
No Fel Reaver death however ... 3 lv 70, a lv 63, a lv 65 so far out of Hellfire.

Yep - I agree - I love STV as LONG as I am playing on a PVE server. On PVP fugghedabowtit. It is hated on PVP servers for good reason.
As far as my most hated zone on a PVE - I have a few. I especially don't like western plaguelands. It seems like every quest makes you go through the ruins crawling with undead.
I don't like the Badlands when playing horde and I hate stonetalon mountains when playing alliance - what a pain to get in there and do anything - in both cases.

I love STV (PVE) - especially for a skinning hunter
I Hated STV (PVP) - cos you get ganked repeatedly.
I also hated Desolace - Too bloody dull.

I love STV too. Reminds me of my home village with the dense jungle and tigers. The only thing I don't like about STV is the gurubashi arena. Everyday there seems to be 2 epic geared nerds, ganking lowbies, so that their twink alt can have the belt.:/
The only reason most people hate STV is probably ganking.
The most disliked place for me is DWM. Gods those crocs need population control.
This is what happens when Irwin forgot to bring a soulstone when swimmin' along the rays :/

I always loved SV. A virtual gold mine for skinners. Just doing the Nessingwary quests can gain you quite a bit of XP.
Desolace, hate the place. I am not fond of Dustwallow either.

I like the layout of STV but It takes too long to accomplish anything there on a PvP server.
My least favorite zone is Silithus.
DWM is a lot better now that they added some quests. It seemed kind of wasted before.

I love STV as much as Nagrand for the scenery and quests. I would go to STV during odd hours like 2 am – 9 am to avoid ganking – shh… those 12-year-old are asleep. Also, I always level 2 or more characters at the same time. If one of my characters got ganked or camped, I would log on the other characters.
I don’t like any places that are orange like Blasted lands, Durotar… because they hurt my eyes.
I've never really liked STV either. It reminds me alot of the Barrens: it seems like in both zones I spend 90% of my time running to the next place. Just endless running and running and running.....
I've always liked the Plaguelands. I feel like I'm on the frontline in the war against Arthas and the Scourge in those zones, plus they have a ton of lore and history packed into them. There is just the right amount of quests in the zones too. Plus one of my favorite questlines in the entire game, the Tirion Fordring "In Dreams" quests, takes place largely in Eastern Plaguelands.

You know.... back when I first went through STV and the Barrens and other large/long zones (like Stonetalon, for instance), it was a pain. Then I learned how to coordinate my questing so that I'd grab all of the quests for a certain location, and do those. I cut down my running back and forth tremendously, and the size of the respective zones became almost no problem at all. The sizes of the zones really stopped bothering me as I figured out where all the quests were and did that...

Im on a PvP server and stv is one of the most funnest places ever. but yes when your leveling through 30-40 it is the hardest place to run around everywhere. they should have made it 40-50 for mounts. but this place is fun to gank at 70 xD

Pre 2.3 leveling in STV for alliance was HELL. Probably spend 50% of leveling time just walking. Horde/New players dont know this pain.
Spending an hour on Thotty before questing, just to find the most efficient route for questing is not my idea of fun.
But its an awesome, beautiful zone with a ton of great quests & an amazing looking city to boot. I remember being wow'd by BB the first time I went there.

Oooo... I have to agree about Silithus. Let's face it - I no longer despise Murlocs because I found something worse: Can there be a creature more detestable than a Silithid Swarmer? Nastines personified.
It is pvp servers where the place isn't loved so dearly...Stranglethorn gank^^And tarren mill is just as bad as stv.

Some of the story lines in the quests at Silthius were good--shame about everything else, lol. Those swarmers were hideous. For some reason I never disliked murlocs.

I have to agree with Silithus. I have a big phobia of anything that crawls and slithers, its horrible there.
I almost died when I first made my way to BEM and had to go through that cave of crawly spiders.

STV is pretty though, just painfull untill you atleast get a mount.

My least favorite zone is Silithus.
At least you don't have to go there anymore, to make it to 70, since it is at the end of the drive to 60, which you can accomplish just by going to outlands at 58.

I went to Silithus the other day for the first time in ages. I had to gain some rep to make a herb bag for my Druid.
It’s a lot easier at level 70 at least. I even nuked 2 alliance doing the pvp quests up there.

My favourite and least favourite zones depend a lot on the type of mobs I like and dislike. The undead in the plaguelands creep me out, and the insects in Silithus make my skin crawl. I hate those two places like grim death.
I don't see the travel in STV to be that much of a problem, and there are a ton of quests that involve a lot of killing and skinning, so I find I make a small fortune and level up to beat the band while I'm there.
Feralas and Nagrand are my top two, with an honourable mention to Zangarmarsh. Easy mobs, lots of quests.
