PvP question

im new to wow, my highest is lvl 24 hunter..but i was jus wondering about pvp, if there is like a match between 4 people, i.e. 2v2...lets say on of the teams had a mage and a warlock..if the mage uses frost nova on the 2 enemies and immoblizes them, and the warlock places his DoTs on them untill they die...doesnt this basically mean that a mage/warlock team can win pretty much any match??

no, because there are ways of getting out of frost nova, and some people attack from a distance, like anyone that has spells or a hunter with his gun/bow. you can frost nova a mage, but he'll just stand there and cast fireballs/frostbolts/arcane missles anyway.

and frost nova breaks after a while, so even then, you'll have to coldsnap+frost nova again. then you're done. unless the mage is frost and has a water elemental... then he can cast freeze, which is basically frost nova but with the pet. bet you didnt know that did you?
