I have a 37 hunter, and was told by my cousin to run through Scarlet Monastery with some people. So I did half of it, the armory and the graveyard, and didn't get that much good gear. Does anyone have any boss recommendations, or instance locations, that are decent for a hunter?

Thanks

There are 4 parts to SM and there are some decent mail drops there for when you hit 40. I wore some of my SM gear all the way to the outlands.

Or skip the rest and just level. You can level pretty quickly now so gear shouldnt be too big a factor.

Yeah, my friend is gonna run me through the last 2 parts of SM. We only went through armory and graveyard, which wasn't bad. I got a decent helm, but that's all lol.

I would love if someone told me good instances for 37-45 or something like that, but that's probably a wide range of gear.

Razorfen Downs 34-40

Uldaman 35-45

I'd rather do quests than instances nowadays. Well, except someone is bored enough to run me through.

With my hunter I went from about 40 to 60 without a single instance. The last ones I did with him were SM. Quest rewards, green drops and the AH should keep you well enough geared until you hit outlands.

With my Shaman/Mage I have been trying to have a good balance of grind, quest and instance exp. Instance exp is probably the worst of the three unless you are doing the quests for those dungeons.

Hunters, like warlocks, have the ability to be very good even when poorly geared because of their pets. I was soloing quests in outlands with level 40 SM gear on. Good luck to ya, whatever you do!

It is worth doing instances as any class (but especially with classes like Hunters who solo so well) because the play style between soloing and grouping is so very different. Developing good grouping habits on the way up will mean that you will shine when you hit the Outland instances. If, on the other hand, you rely just on your soloing experience then chances are you won't be invited back to many groups, which can be pretty damaging at the upper end of the game. People tend to be naturally suspicious of Hunters because there are so many bad ones out there (because they are so easy to solo) so a Hunter will really need to work hard to counter the already negative perspective of the class.

the bvest way to find dungeons that drop gear for your class is with atlas loot, if you get both atlas and atlas loot then you can view dungeon maps level range and boss/trash drops. i think its one of the best must have mods in the game if you run lots of dungeons.
also i would say run as many dungeons as you can fit in. its a great way to level maybe not as fast as grinding now 2.4 has made life easier but still good xp per kill, good team building and also to get a feel for how other class's play. it will also get you some of the best gear you can find as you lvl up

Dont take my post wrong. I am the first person to tell hunters to learn how to group. How to trap and how to be a team player. I hate being stamped as a huntard.

My post should have started by me saying "If this is a rush to 70 then..."

Do take into account that the decent gear drops from the bosses and usually only one by one. Check out www.wowdigger.com to find out which ones drop what item. Even then, they might not drop the item YOu want.

I did SM lots on my druid from L30 - 40 and had a lot fun and got geared up decently. One item at a time though.
