I was taking the long flight from Gadget to Rutheran and had to quit the game. The next day I logged back in and was flying along when it dropped me off at the next available flight point. Is this normal? So if you are flying along and realize that you are going to far then log out and then back in and it will deposit you at the next available spot?

yup...Normal....

The more interesting question is....Do you get back the extra money you paid for the longer journey but never got the [extra part of the ride] ride for?

happened to me all the time. normal i guess.

probably because the server "forgot" where you're going, but only remembers that you're on a certain flight path. in any case, good way of cutting a flight short in the case that you forgot something.

I suspect so.. If, I'm flying from say Stonetalon Mountains to Tanaris and go past the Crossroads, you dive down into the camp and pass the flightmaster there, and a ka-ching sound is heard, before you're back on your way.

I suspect that the additional money is only charged, once you pass the relevant flightmasters.

If that wouldn't happen people could "cheat", saving flying time. No clue if that would affect the servers or the gameplay at all though.

yeah youre only charged for each part of the journey. I log all the time when I make a mistake.

What Pharoahe said. But to clarify, listen closely as you fly past each flight-master - there is a little coin-jingle as he takes his tithe.

Alt-F4 works too :D
