First i wanna say i'm not new player, i was not sure where to create this topic.Anyway i play WoW few months. I Play Rogue Alliance on Sporeggar.
Well my problem is about PvE Raid guild. From 2 weeks i search Raid Guild.I was trying on 10 guild like :
*FireFly
*Outcast
*Forgotten Legacy
*The Red Order
*Nine Six One
All this guild say me that same "Sorry mate, but we have to much rogues/meele dps, GL & HF". Actually i dont know how to do. Today i was try other guild, that they only raid now Karazhan, but i got that same "we good rogue/we full of meele dps"
I dont know what to do now. 1) Leave game 2) play alone and be happy. 3) Create new character.
1- it's nice idea, but why if i wanna stil play WoW?
2- yup, nice but i like team work, and team play
3- why ? i wanna play rogue, i dont wanna create new character
Can some1, give me some idea for that ?

It sounds like you are in a position where you want to raid (and are the appropriate level) but not having any luck getting into any raiding guilds.
There are a lot of guilds that are not designed solely for raiding. Many are built around groups of players who like to play together (teamwork) and do raiding on the side, or haven't reached that level yet.
Why not try to get into a guild like that? Meet some new players and learn who you might like to party with. Find out who plays during the same times you do and what classes you want in your groups. Then start to develop some raid groups within that guild. See if you can become a raid leader for the guild.

Well....
1) PUG. IF you find people who are good and who you like playing with, ask them about a guild invite.
2) If you're in a guild, can it raid?
3) Your stats are not good raiding stats. You have 30% crit (with a combat build!!) but 31 hit and 1403AP. The AP is fine, but you need more balanced stats and MUCh higher hit. Try to keep your AP where it is, get 150-200 hit and let crit fall where it does as long as it's 20% or better. NOTE: If you logged out in PvP gear, your stats are great. But my point remains - you need good PvE gear. And if you have it log out in it so that when people armory you they don't say "Oh great, another PVP rogue who thinks he's god's gift to raiding..."
Yeah, Unfortunately that is the problem with rogues. They are so fun to play yet they are a dime a dozen. I would say try to get into a newer, young guild and, as previously stated, get to know them, run instances with them and wait for their ranks to build. Doing that would give you the best shot to be in a good raiding guild with people that know you and what you can handle.

That's why i search raid guild to get better gear for that than gladiator. PUG is not for me, because it's always problems with people. Im not think that im god of raiding. Im newbie in it, and i wanna learn and get better gear for that.I do lots of instances (normal) because i dont have much friend to do heroic, but glad i still better gear than from normal instances.I wastry to be in new guild for raiding, pve etc. But always that guild break after 2-3 weeks, because people dont play much.
Ofc i dont play only PvE i play lots of PvP, i start now playing Arenas (its now my last chance to get nice items). i still dont have any idea what to do with my problem :(
I onemore time try to found young guild, but always that guild do instances 1-2 for 2 weeks (its for me badly if we wanna raid) or like i said broke after 2 weeks

Right. You're a PvP rogue who wants to use a raid to gear up. The problem is that you're competing against rogues who have spent time running instances and doing quests to be already in good blue gear and more ready to contribute than you are. If you can't show them v good PvE gear already and you can't or won't PUG to meet people... you're unlikely to get in a guild that's already successful in Kara and beyond.
Search the rogue forum for some threads on Kara minimum gearing (I've written it up a couple of times as have others) - get most of the stuff on those lists. Or, find a guild that's just starting Kara and is at the same level you are. But to be blunt... a good raid guild won't need a rogue at your level. So you need to either up your level via gear or find others at your level and progress with them.

Your best bet to raid as a rogue is to find a caual raiding guild, join it, and stand out from the crowd. Show up to raids on time and prepared, deliver solid DPS, interrupt all the right spells consistently, be in a raiding spec and gear when you raid, etc. (note: I don't mean avoid all PvP gear, some of it is actually good for PvE, but stacking STA/resilience isn't what we want in a raiding rogue).
As a guild leader, I can tell you that they probably weren't lieing to you. We've had times in Kara where half the DPS in the raid was a rogue, and we still had one more sitting outside waiting for his turn to get in.

I'm gonna agree with what's been said. Rogues are REALLY common and it's easy for a guild to fulfill it's rogue requirements.
What's probably best is instead of going for the Mid-level management with your own semi-plush office, go for the standard temp with the cubicle. That will get your foot in the door so-to-speak and will get you in the PvE oriented gear. Guild's can have a tendency to talk to each other and if you can get the right stuff, you'll move up.
Another thing with a smaller guild is chances are it might have an alliance with a larger guild that usually the smaller guild will help the larger guild fill up the last couple slots in a raid. This can also help in moving your way up, and the if the smaller guild folds, you might have a better chance at getting into the larger guild.

As painful as it can be, Pugging 5 mans really is a good way to start getting to know people. With a class that has so much competition, you need someone who is in a guild you are applying to who can say say "yeah, I grouped with that guy and he really knows what he is doing!"
My real life friend plays a rogue, and he plays it quite well. He interupts heals and dangerous spells. He knows when to sacrifice his dps to focus on stunning mobs. When his sap is up and we aren't ready for it yet, he's got it blinded. If a mob gets loose from CC and heads for a clothie he is ready with a blind or a stunlock. He'll toss a distract on a pat that's getting too close to what we are fighting. He always watches his threat.
Too many rogues focus on the stabby stabby without really taking advantage of the great utility that their class can provide. Good rogues make a lot of encounters trivial. Bad rogues will repeatedly wipe groups. If you are a good rogue, you have to make that known, and the best way to do that is to get into some groups. Pug away, build up a friends list, and go from there.

I found the idiocy level a LOT lower on heroics. Healers aren't offhealers. Tanks are geared and specced for it, the hunters know how to trap. A LOT less painful than doing a normal L70 instance. On top of that you get epics and badges. Badges gear you up very well.
Last Friday (my weekly dungeon-night) I was as lucky as a druid can get.
I logged in at the Shatt-inn getting my bearings towards the daily-heroic quest-giver when I saw in /Trade: "The guild Merged is looking for 2 more dps random class for Kara". It so happened I had just completed my "gear-up" for Karazhan the week before (see another thread of mine in the Druid forum). So I whispered that I'm really a tank, but I have a dps-set as well.
They invite me, summon me and about 7 of us go in. I switch to my dps-set, go cat and wait for the pull. Then one of them says (in /say)
"pull skull, second kill cross".
I wait.
/say "Win, pull skull, second kill cross".
Me: "/say I thought I was gonna be dps".
"/say yeah, but you can tank until our MT gets here".
I was all "but but, I've never been here before, are you sure?"
"/say yeah, it'll be fine"
"/say yeah, we're pro's"
Me: "/say ok, lemme switch my gear"
switch to tank gear, switch to bear.
After that first stint I
- tanked Midnight
- in Phase 2 of Attuman 4 to 5 adds came in, I tanked those and dps-ed them down in bear.
- I was Blind-soaker on Moroes
- I tanked Maiden when the MT bit the dust due to a healer lagspike (we still wiped, but not because of "bad tanking"), killed her second time around.
- I dps-ed Nightbane, Aran (naturally), Curator
- I dps-ed on Illhoof and tanked the imps for a short time
- I got splattered by the Big bad Wolf , but was otherwise set to tank Tinman or Juliette
The fact that the rest was quite overgeared and had been to Kara so much (and I quote) "it made their eyes bleed" had several consequences:
BAD
- Detailed, but contradicting "win, you do this"-instructions from several sources. Causing me to tank the trap-target, not knowing that being "on Moroes" meant I HAD to stay second in threat so I'd soak up the Blind.
GOOD
- room for my mistakes (which I inevitably made). Thankfully I had read the fights a LOT and knew not to move in the Flame Wreath, run away from the Arcane Explosion, that Attuman and Midnight merge, that Curator had a weak phase, ... so I wasn't a total noob . But I did pull a pat or two that could've been avoided had I moved back in time.
- Detailed "win, you do this"-instructions, especially towards the end half.
- Loot. The MT was also a druid, but was quite geared up so if a Druid-piece (feral or healing) I'd often get a Need-roll on it.
In the end they called it before Netherspite, Chess and Prince. I walked away with 3 healing epics, 2 tanking epics, the Violet Ring and 15 Badges (with which I bought Idol of Terror today).
You can bet, next friday, I'll be checking the /Trade in Shatt .

Nice story Wintrow. And yes, with decent gear, good knowledge of your class and a willingness to jump in you can have fun and gear up
