Okay, so in all honestly, I admit that trying to keep playing even after I nodded off a few times was a bad idea.

A very, very, very bad idea.

I wake up to find my character dead, a few minutes left to release spirit, and I'm... on a tree branch in the middle of the nether or something. I fell a long ways, apparently. So I released my spirit and tried to find out where the heck this happened at.

Problem is, now my spirit is stuck, too! I tried relogging and no luck. Instead of loading my spirit in the graveyard, it brings me up in some horrible spot in the veiled sea.

I found a similar question (ACK! I can't find my corpse!) and a suggestion was to type /console reloadui - no dice there, either.

Am I doomed? Somebody, please help me. I feel like an idiot and I just want my character back. :(

Worst case just open a ticket and they will reset for you.

Click on the Spirit Healer at the graveyard and resurrect yourself there. You will suffer a little durability damage and possible some resurrection sickness for a few minutes but that is all.

He (I a assuming a he, if I am wrong sorry) stated his corpse didnt pop at a graveyard.

I would just open a ticket and get reset.

If you swim out into the middle of the Veiled Sea with your spirit, it will fatigue the spirit just like when you're alive and it'll die. Then you can spirit res when you get back to the spirit healer for the 25% hit.

Ahh, I though he ran back but couldn't get close enough to res. In that case a ticket would be the best case, or as stated above, try to get to the sea and die again via fatigue

I think you can also go under the red ?, click "Open a Ticket", "Issues a GM can help with" and click "Stuck". It's not just for live toons who are stuck in the geometry.

Yes, try unstucking like Ren said - I once had to do it because I got DCed right after I had clicked on 'release spirit', and when I logged in again I ended up at my corpse but with no chance to release anymore. If you use that auto-unstuck button, then you'll end up with your spirit at the spirit healer as if you had used 'release spirit'.

this happened to me last night. i somehow fell off the face of azeroth and died. then i ghost formed but i was falling through the world. when this happens, open a ticket.

i got lucky and... while i was falling through the world, guildies said im located in silverpine. so i took a chance and Alt+F4, then logged on again and found myself at the spirit healer at the Sepulcher. lucky. but if your location is somewhere in the veiled sea, i think you're stuck with asking the GM for help.

Thanks everybody!

I tried swimming out into the veiled sea as suggested and it worked. I didn't mind taking the hits on item durability and res sickness, but I sure as heck know I'll be logging out next time I start nodding off.

You guys are awesome, and I'm keeping these tips in mind just in case something similar happens again. Thank you!
