Does any1 have any speculation on new CoT dungeons for wotlk and future xpac. I have a few ideas.
1. CoT: The March On Quel'Thalas.
After Kael'Thas failed to rebuild the sunwell, a group of his followers have contacted the infinite dragonflight who have sent them back in time to prevent the well from ever being destoyed in the first place. In return the bloodelves have promised that in the choas that will ineviably ensue because of the sunwells continued existence, the infinite dragons can lay claim to Azeroth.
You would have to join the scourge, disguised as its members ( you would be a different type of scourge soldier depending on your class.) Bosses would include some powerful mages that were guarding the sunwell, some bloodelf time travelers and an infinite dragonflight.
2. CoT: The slaying of Mannoroth.
Mannoroth was perhaps one of the greatest pitlords that ever existed, and the infinite dragonflight are attempting to stop him from being slain. To counter Garrosh Hellscream and Thrall's attack on the mighty demon, the infinite dragons have sent an army of their finest members to old ashenvale.
if the infinite flight succeeds then it is likely that Mannororth will aid kael'thas in the summoning of kil'jaedan, and if that happened.......
The aim of this CoT instance would simply be to stop the legions of infinite dragons from reaching Thrall and Garrosh. Not sure on bosses. No doubt some legion dudes and infinite dragons would be bosses.
well enjoy.

Nice ideas. But you'd be better to try and match them to the theme of the expansion. Like how WotLK revolves around Arthas and so does the CoT-instance where he decimates Stratholme...

Actually i wasn't saying they had to be wotlk. I think that the march on quel'thalas would fit quite well seeing as you get to fight alongside the scourge. The mannoroth CoT could be emerald dream seeing as it's all to do with ashenvale which is linked to the dream. As for maelstrom, i don't no. The sundering would be important seeing as otherwise the naga would never have existed, but blizz could probably come up with something else aswell.

I have another cool idea for a wotlk CoT.
CoT: The war of the spiders
The infinite dragonflight has turned its attention to northrend, and is attempting to re-make the outcome of the war of the spiders, the massive war between the scourge and nerubians. If the nerubians had won then these spider men would have taken over the world with help from the old gods. The infinite dragons have sent nerubian troops from the past, present and future to the final battle in the war of the spiders. You must now help the scourge to defeat the legions of nerubians. Time is short.
the final boss to this dungeon would be un-undead (lol) anub'arak.

Why do you assume that the Nerubians would be followers of the Old Gods? Weren't they ancient enemies of the Silithids?

Blizz hasn't actually confirmed this but loads of people, including my self believe that nerubians worship old gods (it has been said that an old god lurks beneath northrend). And could you find a link to the info that says nerubians hate silithids and their old god leaders. nerubians as far as i know are simply a faction of the aquir, as are silithids. Perhaps there will be 3 nerubian groups: undead nerubians; old god worshipping nerubians; and friendly nerubians.

This is a well tread topic but I'll recycle my ideas cuz its fun to speculate when it comes to the Caverns...
#1 Protect Arthas as he fights his way to Frostmourne- Bosses-- Scourge, various wild life of Northrend, MURADIN! the Infinite Dragon Flight...
Reasons why this would kick a** with WotLK-
fits perfectly into WotLK theme of Northrend
get to fight alongside Arthas... again! Oh and Muradin too which would be cool...
Frostmourne is totally bad a**-- nuff said
Oh and they could put in the voice over of the Lich King speaking through Frostmourne to Arthas and do an in game transformation of Arthas the Paladin to Arthas the Death Knight...
#2 Just thought of this one lol-- Ensure that Arthas kills his father in Lordaeron-- If his father doesn't die Lordaeron doesn't fall...the humans don't flee to Kalimdor and history is massively rewritten
Get to fight alongside Arthas...
Get to fight in Lordaeron!!! (I love how Lordaeron looks in ruins but I'd love to see it before the fall)
Bosses- Terenas! Infinite Dragonflight, various Human guards and captains
And ideas that are much less likely but still cool...
#3 Now that they are officially introducing Rhonin and Vereesa into WoW... oh and the Red Dragonflight.. this could be more likely to be seen in CoT.. you never know :)
Protect Rhonin as he destroys the Demon soul and saves Alexstrasza
Yeah... Save an Aspect? AWESOME!
Plus Rhonin is awesome and Deathwing comes into the story and there is an epic fight between the Deathwing and the Aspects... and now that I think about it this could fit in with WotLK since they are adding Malygos and Dragonblight as a raid boss and zone... if you read the lore I think this may be where Malygos starts his war against all non-Dragon magic users... He is already slipped far into his madness and he finally leaves his cave and sees Rhonin and orc warlocks wreaking havoc over Azeroth... I think it could fit with WotLK...
Bosses- Nekros (orc warlock), various orcs, infinites
#4 This one isn't likely but it's one of my faves-- Aid Rexxar in defending Durotar from Admiral Proudmoore's assault (From the Frozen Throne expansion)
Fighting alongside Rexxar and Misha would be awesome! And like the Old Hillsbrad instance where everyone is turned into humans everyone could be turned into orcs and trolls for this one...
Bosses- Daelin Proudmoore, various humans, Infinite Dragonflight
Yeah I have more but I'm tired :)... CoT rpging is a lot of fun and your ideas are pretty good... but Mankrik's wife takes the cake lol...

This probably wouldn't be all that popular, but I would like to see one where you help Illidan take the Skull of Gul'dan. Fight by Illidan before his transformation. Would be interesting. Have it end with Illidan getting the skull, transforming, than fight some sort of Dragon thing.

cool ideas, soz i havent been on for a while. I saw one persons idea in another forum, and he said that old durotar should be implemented as a non-instanced zone. A whole country set in the past. Boss type characters would include queen of the harpys, a quilboar ruler. I personaly think that potential future zones could work. Lets say that the infinite dragonflight has created a potential future version of several zones, and it's up to you to stop them from making it a reality. This is what elwyn should be like:
Elwyn forest is peacfull no longer. Beaten down by defias coming from duskwood the stockades and westfall, stormwind has been taken and is under the control of edwin's brother victor van'cleef. Northsire has been completely overrun by kobolds, while riverpaw gnolls are building an army at forests edge. Only goldshire and the horde encampment of camp durot remains.
sounds cool right?
