Dumb question time!

So I'd been putting off getting professions for a while, and finally decided to go with leatherworking. So I go and pick it up from the trainer, look at some of the leather "recipies" he has, and he doesn't have any for a level 1 leatherworking skill. So how do I train up leatherworking?

you should have gotten a couple starter skills. I think one of them is to turn leather scraps into pieces of light leather.... that sort of thing.

You were looking at the recipes he teaches SEPARATELY. But when you first learn leatherworking you already learn a handful. THOSE get you from 1 to the first separately-taught one.
