One the recurring themes of my Warcraft experience is frequent bursts of lust for things.

First I had to have a Hydrocane, and ground Gnomer relentlessly until I got one. Then it was a horse, rather than a goat, and I ran all over the world trying to gather the rep.

The most difficult was a WSG trinket, and the trauma of 30 WSG matches has kept me away from PVP since.

Now I must have an Admiral's Hat. I have the pattern, I have a friendly tailor, but I need the Long Elegant Feathers. I managed to get ONE on the auction house, and need five more.

I''ve had a look around the web (though my site options are limited in work), and think I'm going to head to Feralas to kill Frayfeather Hippogryphs. Can anyone tell me if these will be killable by an Alliance character? I was quite upset when I hoofed all the way to the Hinterlands to find I couldn't kill those gryphons!

Thanks Twoflower, I already went to the Hinterlands and found that an Alliance character can't kill most of the gryphons - they're friendly. Is that the same with the Hippogryphs?

no, the hippogryphs are angry at everyone :)

Excellent! I never liked the way their back legs gallop when they fly anyway.

lol the lust for things.. good luck! You will succeed, that's the comforting thing about WoW. All rep, all feathers, all spiffy gear is in your grasp as long as you invest the time and patience.

I have it, and it is good! In the end I used a byzantine system of horde alts and friends to get the hat of the horde auction house, it probably cost me about 30 gold in total. It's totally worth it though - stylin'!

Next, I will be mostly killing Deadwood Furbolgs for Timbermaw rep - +25 2h weapon agility enchantment, yum...

I can't check the link from Odinsnephew, but it's an enchantment pattern giving +25 Agility on two-handed weapons. There's a one-handed version as well, +15 Agility I think. You can only buy if you are Friendly with Timbermaw Furbolgs.

Would there be a level requirement on the weapon that was enchanted with that?

(good thing this is the newbie forum, lol)

Nope. It's an enchantment often used on twink character weapons.
Faintly recall something about item level playing a role, but I'm far from 100% on this. It's been a while.

I went a while now without a goal, but I have one again! I am now aiming for an Ice Barbed Spear.

I've never been in Alterac Valley, any tips or tricks I should be aware of?

Well last night I played 11 AV matches, and in every one of them the Alliance were outnumbered by around 2-1. Needless to say we lost every time. Quite discouraging!!
