Hi.

I'm quite a bit of a newb still, so I was wondering, is the game too slow paced or am I just too fast paced.

For a newb, who usually dosen't get help, (and when I say this, I have no RL friends who play this game) I have made 25 gold easily in the space of a couple of days.

The trouble is, there is nothing to spend it on for my lvl. I'm only lvl 13 and for a newb to be making too much money, is beyond me.

It's quite boring just attacking monsters all the time or questing just to lvl.

Can you do raids at my lvl? If so, are they fun/any good? I've already tried the BG Warsong Gulch. Every time I get ganked easily due to the higher lvls. I've tried this at lvl 11 on a hunter and seem to get far more kills.

Is it just me, or are hunters much better class to play than rouges?

All comments and suggestions are most welcome.

ok let me ask you this... how much do you play there imho there is no way possible you can make 25g in a couple of days at lvl 13 short of finding a BoE blue item and selling it in the AH, if you are grinding are you learning any of your skills you get almost every 2 levels?, have you upgraded your gear? i just do not see this being possible.

Copper stacks are 7g on my realm. My alt had about 8 stacks in about half an hour.

Firstly, I don't play it much, about 3 hours a day or less. Secondly I have upgraded my gear and also purchased more for advancing lvls. And how I make my money? You find it hard to believe? You have been outsmarted by the wrath of the newbs, but fine then. In Durotar, as you may well know, there are tons of copper veins. Stacks of 20 can sell up to 5 gold at the AH, sometimes much more (I personally have a good selling technique that I use to sell them)! Oh and yes, I've learned all the abilites I can for a lvl 13 rouge.

Does this help? Or are you just jelous, STILL not believing me and can't face the facts that I might be too fast paced for a newb? (I'm not the best at spelling  )

Heytar, rogues in BG tend to be pretty OP :) when you get to 19 you should try wsg again. Be flag runner or stay stealthed on defense.....you will be amazed.

Thanks for advice. I'm going on later so I'll go lvl up to about 16 then try again as a defender stealthed in the corner of the room with the flag...and wait till some allaince comes along and BAM! From nowhere...untill then, thanks for your advice once again.

First, in any pvp bracket the lower levels will get slaughtered by the higher levels (in general). Second, make some ingame friends. You can solo in WoW, but it's MUCH more fun to have the option to play with some folks. Third, you can't raid per se, but you can do five man instances. Ragefire, etc... look them up on wowwiki. Instances are a ton of fun for some of us. You may love them, you may hate them. IF you want to PvE as you level, though, it's best to learn how to play in groups. not just solo.

Oh and remember... you'll need 100g for your mount so stick that amount on a bank alt. YOu can also twink out a bit if you want and pvp at 19 for a bit. Silly use of money if you're levelling, but if you like the BGs... why not?

It's Doomhammer, it's listed on his profile, just as yours is Spinebreaker.

stack of 20 copper ore for upto 5g just goes to show that your economy is way out of control.

Pft, making 25Gs in a few days aint nothing Lothaer, I made a level 1 and he made 40G in less than two days, without ever leaving a capital, or getting anything from my main/alts.

Besides that, once you hit a few more levels there'll be plenty of things to spend your money on. Don't worry 'bout that, just keep on saving it, and try to get the best stuffs fer' your level.

Aye moneys is no probs to spend on gems/enchants/hookers etc at higher levels.

The Expansion, burning crusade, made 'old world' and lowbie items worth a lot more. You'd be happy to make 1-2g/stack on copper bars pre expansion. Now noone really farms the lower level mats (not as much) so you can charge a premium on some of them. 25g isnt much, and if you decided to buy twink weps you're looking at a lot more than 25g to purchase them. gl.

That said 7g is extreme for the first level mats, economy must be a bit skewed (or you caught the AH on a good [bad?] day).

Maybe it's under control and that's why it's worth so much.

First off, unless you're a twink, you will be slaughtered in the 11-19 BGs, actually you don't stand much chance in the 29 or even 39 grounds either. 49+ tends to even out in my experience but prior to that the battle is won based solely on twink-superiority.

Secondly, not only do you need to put by 100g for level 40, you also need to put by 600g for level 60 (and that's not a huge gap these days). Past that you get to Outland where money flows like water but really, start saving your 700g right now.

Market control ftw. But, at least on my server, prices tend to rocket around exam months. I don't know why, perhaps it's due to less people playing it, and thus less materials: but anyways - it rockets.

And yeah, 700G's on mount, pre-outland. Then another what? 6000 gold in outland on normal flyer and later epic flyer.

To explain Doomhammer EUs economy. I started to play May 2007 and everything was pretty normal. 1-2g a stack of copper. 3 things have changed our economy in the last year
1) Its an old realm, people most people have high level characters with alot of money. There are less low levels around farming low level stuff, so anything they do put on AH is expensive.
2) Patch 2.3 made playing the AH harder in terms of listing the first 50 auctions
3) Patch 2.4 = 25 dailies. If you want you can easily make 250g in 3 hours. On an old realm like ours, its common to see people with 9 70s. Think how much money they can potentially farm doing dailies.
On average only 10 copper stacks are listed on our AH a day. 6g a stack? Thats literally 3 minutes work.

Another example about our realms economy. Riding crops went for 70-90g a year ago. Now the price is 170g. Thats alot of inflation, but most people are much much richer than they were a year ago. I have 11k g (after buying an epic, 4 20 slot bags, orb of deception, all epic gems & enchants).......Most people in my guild have not even noticed these price rises because their wealth has increased at the same rate (if not higher) than the AH prices. I only noticed because I play the AH so much.

You're way off base if you think its out of control. Sure people below lv70 cant do dailies, but they can sell their mats for much higher too. Its win win. My druid alt (1 month old and level 23) has 500g of his own. Ive not played him much at all.

250g in 3 hours? Without doing dailies I made roughly 250 in an hour the other day. I'll keep the farming spot to myself though :p.

clevins

You can do that occasionally... the nice thing about dailies is that they're a sure thing from day to day. The farming spot that drops primals all over the place one day might not the next.

In summary, this is nothing to do with the 'leetness' of the OP and just a byproduct of a somewhat strange economy on his server.

Thank you, come again.

To be fair, this game is pretty easy. Its not hard to level or make lots of cash. Get your character to a high level, join a guild or do some heavy PvP and then decide.

In summary, this is nothing to do with the 'leetness' of the OP and just a byproduct of a somewhat strange economy on his server.

Server economies are really squirrelly. I read 7g for a stack of copper on one server ... amazing. But on one server I play on, I can sell stacks of copper routinely for 3.25g, and on another they barely go for 50s a stack. So how well you can make money depends a great deal on the economy.

Incidentally, I found out from a friend who plays on one RP-PvP server that I used to play on that, a few months since I stopped playing there, there is STILL one guy who buys up any "of the Eagle" cloth gear and posts it for outrageous prices. Some people never give up.

Then again, level 20-30 green leather hats are being sold for between 50-100g (well, offered -- I don't know if anyone actually buys them for that price).

you gotta look at the long term. on my new server (just started two-three weeks ago) i had about 40g at your level, and about 200g once i hit 20. at 40, i had about 400g and at 50 (which im at right now) i have over 1000g, just on mining and skinning. i send pretty much all my greens to my guild bank now (unless they're monkey/eagle gear) so someone else can disenchant and level up their enchanting. its not hard to make money especially when you're supplying mats for people to level up their professions.

just look on the long term though. you'll have about 80gold to spend on your first mount at level 40. then about 500 gold on your level 60 mount. and if you want to stay in a bracket and PvP, investing in some decent gear might require some work. i did this too at level 39. bought half my gear from the AH, then got a few enchants. did decently, though i did meet several others in the battlegroups that were actually twinked out in blues and purples, and some folks with just pvp gear.

so no, you're not really that fast paced. you're probably understanding this game a lot faster than other people you might see, but in terms of actual game experience played, there's a whole lot more to learn. dont worry.... there's no hurry.
