I think that hunter aspects should change somewhat. These are the current aspects and what they do.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/hunter/spells.html

Heres how i think it should go: 1 for each hunter role: tanking, DPS, ranged DPS, CC, pet tanking, and pet DPS. Then the 2 speed 1's and a utility aspect making 8 all together. I think this is what it should be:

Aspect of the hawk (ranged DPS): increases ranged attack power by x. (improvement talent) also increases the range of your ranged abbilitys by 5 yards.

aspect of the snake(DPS): melee attacks do an extra x damage in nature damage. (improvement talent) also increases you chance to dodge by x%.

aspect of the ox (tanking): Increases armor by x%. (improvement talent) also increases your chance to resist stun effects by x%.

aspect of the spider (CC): Increases the duration of your traps by 5 sec. (improvement talent) also increases the damage done by your traps by X%.

aspect of the bear (pet tanking): Increases your pets armour by x%. (improvement talent) also increases your pets chance to resist stun effects by x%.

aspect of the wolf (pet DPS): increases the damage done by your pet by X% . (improvement talent) also increases the attack speed of your pet.

aspect of the cheetah (speed): Increases movement speed by 30%. dazed when struck.

aspect of the pack (group speed): increases the speed of you and all party members within 30 yards by 30%. Dazed when struck.

aspect of the beast (utility): the hunter and all party members within 30 yards become untrackable and have all of their attributes increased by x.

so what do you think. i know that not all the improvement talents could happen, but perhaps if some were grouped together. make this happen blizz.

I don't see why you would make the hunter a tanking class? Do you want them to wear plate and a shield too?

it states quite clearly in the manual that BOTH A HUNTER AND HIS PET can tank. i'm not saying it's their main thing, but just cus you don't specialize a class in so and so it doesn't mean that it can't fulfill that role.

Er, sorry but hunters are not tanks. Their pets act as a personal tank for solo questing not as tanks for instance running (refering to instances of equivalent lvl to the hunter).

The big problem with this is: Mail cannot tank. No questions asked. Even before I donned a few cloth items for additional +Spell Damage and Healing on my Shaman, (I carry around a 1h and a shield), I still got squished. Big time. IE: 2, 3, 4 shotted, if that. The +10% armor talent in Enhancement wouldn't have made any difference. At 10000 armor that would be 1000 more armor. That's not really that much of a help in the high end of things.

Didn't any of you get the manual i mean it comes with the game. when it describes the roles of classes it says that HUNTERS CAN TANK. mabye not aswell as their pet but their certainly tough enough to be a secondary tank. oh

and yes you can tank with mail. both warriors and paladins have to wait till lvl 40 to get plate but even before lvl 40 they are the best tanks in the game.

The manual is woefully out of date I'm afraid. Lots of things in there that just don't make sense anymore.

And yes, you can tank will mail at <40, but not above 40, which is when hunters can wear it.

Tanking is threat + mitigation, hunters can't really keep threat up on something that's meleeing with them and can't mitigate as much damage as other classes.

In normal mode, or less than 70 instances, sure a hunter could "tank" a mob for a little while, but they are not real tanks.

Can we just get off this arguement about hunters tanking. i get the message that that particular idea wasn't popular, can you now tell me about what you think about the other aspects.

Problem of Hunter Tanking is Critable and Crushable.

not sure how their pet would handle that.

and if they were to buff Pets to the power of Feral Druids, that would be extremely OP!

Well.... If eyes of the beast turned the pet into a tank, with you controlling it, and leaving your body vulnerable... maybe. But then all sorts of new tuning would have to be done to pet stats and abilities.

I've always thought EotB was a fun but mostly useless spell.

I think there should be Aspect of the Fish, which would increase swim speed and/or give underwater breathing...

Ive never played a hunter before ever, but i suggest a "Aspect of the Penguin". Lol not because penguins are so damm hot. It would make you swim faster then Druids Aquatic Form
