Hi There,

My problem is - yeasterday i was going thru the screenshots of other peaople UI's, and i found one that i really like, anyway when i got home from work i tried to install one one the UI packages from curse.com. This partly worked, but i was not too sure on what i was doing, so i thought i'd un-install it then read up on it some more and try again another day. I did that and now all of my icons and chat screen have become smaller than usual. I tried to look for a way to change the UI back to default, but i could see it nowhere. Is there a way to change the UI back to default? Or is there another addon i could install that will help me with my problem? Are there any other addons that you could recommend, that will help me tidy up my UI?

I am pretty new to all of this so please forgive my ignorence. Also thankyou very much for your replies in advance.

Best regards,

Dark Viper!!

ok rule number #1 first time mod users should NOT use packages as you have no idea what mod does what and if there is a problem you have no idea which mod is causing the problem.

I suggest that you download one or two mods and start from there that way you can get the hang of things its the way i started, i think the first mod i ever used was Titan/Perl cant remember now its been along time.

#2 if you want to reset your UI back to its default settings the quickest and easiest way to do it is to go into your World of Warcraft folder (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) and delete your Interface and WTF folders this will reset every Interface\Video\Sounds setting back to its default settings and give you a clean slate.

#3 you said you wanted to tidy up your UI what exactly are you looking for?

Thanks alot friend for your reply, it is much appreciated! I just wanted to make it look a bit more tidy and organised. I was thinking bongo's or bartender to do this, but i'm not too sure, what do you think?

I do have titan bar, questhelper, cartographer, but apart from that i have no other mod's. Have you anything else you could suggest?

So i should just delete my interface folder, and that will give me a clean slate. Will it be replaced again by default when i start the game?

Thanks again for your help.

Yes, the client will always recreate your Interface folder if you delete it. You should also nuke the WTF folder which contaisn the settings for all your addons.

You problem you saw originally sounds like a UI Scale issue. You can find this setting in the Interface options of the client.

you might like to give Bartender and X-Perl a look there are other mod that do the same as these but i myself use Bartender and X-Perl and find them very useful, also you might want to go into your video settings and lower your UI Scale it gives you more "retail" space for customizing your UI.
