buddy loosing chr protrait

He just started playing has to addons.. lootfilter and auctioneer.
He is playing a rogue.

He started playing last Sat. and after about an hour his chr portrait(Hope thats what its called) disappeared from the top right of his screen. Later he clicked on my chr and no portrait on me or mobs he is attacking either. He reset the interface and it was back...about 30 minutes later it just disappeared.

Any ideas on what is turning it off and how to fix it?

Why is his portrait in the top right? Only a mod would move it there.

It's probably just a graphical bug. Try running the Blizzard repair tool.

I just called him and he said left, I guess I misunderstood him.

I told him to try the repair tool...hope it helps.

I did not ask him if he quits out out the game and logs back in if its gone then.


he is running 16XX widescreen he said it was a selection in video but he did not know if it was 1600 or 1650 or whatever it was the same as the resolution on his 22in monitor, he is at work right now.

Tell him to load up with the addons turned off and if the problem goes away then it's one of the addons. If that happens, tell him to load them each individually to weed out the faulty addon. It's possible that running them at the same time is causing the problem.
