To do closed alpha testing and beta testing of the new version of Sabella (codenamed Rosemary). I will be needing 25 people whom will adhere to an NDA and are serious testers. In case you dont know, Sabella is a sphere mod for rogues. "Rosemary" will be a version for all classes so it'll be important I get everything covered. The testing will start in 3-4 weeks. The people that get selected will be notified of a closed forum address and be given an NDA to /agree to. Please send the following information to isognomy@gmail.com
Name. (just first name is fine)
Past testing experience. (none required but preferred)
Past NDA adherences. (none required but preferred)
Main characters class.
Main characters level.
What realm?
PVP or PVE?
Why do you want to be a part of the team that tests "Rosemary"?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation, and interest. I hope to hear from you all soon!

Hey Isognomy! =) Glad to see that your work on the your own universal sphere addon is going to be starting soon! I've been wondering when you would start up your testing of the new Sabella. I wish you a lot of luck with it. :) Hopefully your addon won't be in "beta" for over 14 months like my LunarSphere, hehe.
If you have any questions or would like any help, feel free to message me. This whole open beta test of mine has had its ups and downs and I learned a lot from the project. Definitely looking forward to your version. I would offer my help with the beta testing, but in all honestly, I have my hands tied at the moment. That, and it would be a slight conflict of interrest considering our two projects.
Oh, ignore lothaer =) He didn't know that you knew about the LS project, lol.
To anyone else reading this, definately give it a go. Isognomy has done some excellent work on the Sabella addon and I'm sure his new all-class addon will be amazing as well.

Hey man nice to see you again, I know it's been awhile! Thank you very much for the kind words, and for sticking up for Lothaer. :wink2: I know that there's at least 2 different universal sphere addons in the works atm (LS and Sphere). I see no reason why there can't be more. In my opinion I have no intention on competing with either of the addons, but providing my own little niche in the sphere addon market.
There's at least 20 different action bar addons, all do different things in different ways, and this is how I feel about Rosemary compared to the others. There will be things Lunarsphere and Sphere can do that Rosemary can't and vice versa.
I've used both and like both, but I kept reverting back to Sabella and Venantes, and no sphere on my other classes. I feel that some people will like to use Rosemary and others will prefer Lunarsphere, that's fine. There's no reason that addon developers have to be mortal enemies, quite the contrary, we should work together to ensure the best user experience. No matter what, I'm going to develop Rosemary, and it will be a success in my eyes if at least 1 person downloads it.
Anyways, thanks for listening to my rant, I appreciate it. Once again, always great to hear from you Moongaze, we should speak more often, and thank you for your kind words. I love how LS is progressing so far, and it makes me very excited to see your baby come closer to being finished.

Why does this require an NDA? Seems like complete overkill. Are you planning on charging for this?

Sphere, although I *think* it still works, might have been abandoned or on a very slow burner. I think that some of the newer versions of some of the Ace libraries might have broke it, but I can't be certain since I don't use very many Ace addons or update them. Then there is Henge, but I honestly don't know what's going on with that one. I hear that it's being developed again, but at the same time, I hear it has been dropped *shrug*
I also agree that addon authors should work together, but playing mortal enemies is fun! *very sarcastic* Hehe. I'm actually glad there will be other universal sphere addons available for users because it helps to expand the field, offer new ideas, and let people experiment. If there was only one type of addon (say, a threat meter), people would only use it and there would be no variety, leading to the same old stuff. Like with WOW, competition yields more ideas and features, leading to new MMOs using ideas from WOW and their own ideas, and WOW seeing these new ideas and adding them as well if and where they fit. Nothing new, well ... nothing new =)
Like you said, our projects will offer things that the other won't do, which I think is always a good thing. I can't wait to see what you do with your project, and I look forward to its release!

Removed NDA from the alpha test, just wanted to be safe. =o)
I'll never charge for my addons, one of the reasons I don't use Carbonite honestly.
