We've already have a DK forum. What else is there that wouldn't be best served with the existing forums?

Just any news about wotlk. the official forums has one. y can't we?

A DK forum is totally different to a LK forum. You must realise some people have zero interest in DKs but still have plenty of interest in the expansion.

I have zero interest in DK's. I just didn't see why it should be separate from general.

the DK forum is a class forum...there are a million and one non-class related topics to talk about in the new game

Why should we have one here, just because the official forums has one? I mean, is WotLK somehow *not* WoW? When TBC was being done, there wasn't a separate TBC forum on here... I just don't see why we need to segregate further... Honestly, WotLK *is* the major news for WoW, and makes logical sense to be in the general forum here.

Hmmm..seing there was/is no dedicated TBC forum, why do we need a WotLK forum?

For news the is the (wait for it...gasp...) News section...what are the odds?

Then again, if your idea finds enough supporters...but I suppose creating a WotLK sub forum now would quickly turn it into the WotLK wild speculations forum...

To be honest I'm indifferent, because I'll just post interesting LK topics in this forum. I just found it the suggestion to post them in the DK forum a bit silly

Look at it from my point of view plz. I want info on wotlk, and specificaly on wotlk. i don't want to have to search through millions of none-wotlk related threads just to find 1 scrap of info. also the official forums don't work on my computer so it would be nice if i could stil go on a wotlk forum. and i'm not saying change it just for me. i'm sure plenty of people feel the same way about searching for info.

Usually any news we get that is related to WotLK is slapped up on the homepage of the site, and all news articles on the homepage can be clicked on to the forum topic under the same name.

still it would be nice to have a place to discuss it.

Most of the discussion occurs on the news pages, since each news article is accompanied by its own thread. I acually prefer it that way, since I can go to the main site, find the top news stories and post if I want.

Does mean discussion can die quickly as people rarely return to news story comment threads.

There really wasn't anything so massively groundbreaking with TBC that really warranted devoting an entire forum to its discussion. Now, devoting a stickied thread COULD be warranted, but the huge major development here in WotLK (death knights) already has it's forum (which will become the catchall for strategies, questions, tips etc. when the class becomes available).

Maybe a catchall stickied thread for Wrath, but not an entire forum. Even then, that might be a lot.

The biggest constant we had for TBC was two stickied threads. One was on speculation/rumors/news/people's wishes etc. for the new races (as it was know (I don't remember how) that yes, an expansion pack WAS in the works), and after that (read: Blizzcon of 2005 and the announcement of Blood Elves for the horde), one which was speculation/rumors/news/people's wishes etc. for the new Alliance Race.

I think you are over-exaggerating, just a litle. There aren't millions and millions of non-wotlk related threads to find 1 scrap of info, I'd say if anything, there's a *lot* more wotlk-related threads in the general forum here than not as of late, and more will come as it goes along. Plus, a lot of the info is incorperated into the Wiki on this site for quick access to boot.

I think a stickied thread might be a good idea, DK as the major thing tends to overshadow everything else and putting all the small scraps of information in one thread will also minimise the "hey I just heard about XX" reposted every week as we approach the release and more info comes out.

lol, funny though how Wikipedia (as an example) is actually more accurate than most encyclopedias on the market

WatcherZero

yeah their was a study of encyclopedias and Brittanica was accurate 95% of the time or something and Wiki was accurate 98% of the time but encarta was only accurate 88% of the time.
