Weird thing happened

When I got up this morning I went to Terrokar for the daily spirit tower quest. After completing that, I checked my pvp tab and it said I had 61 kills and 700 or so honor points.

Now, I am a bit worried. I went to bed around 10 last night and did no BG after that.

None of my gear is gone nor is any of my gold. That is what I find odd if I were hacked.

After the patch of yesterday, has anyone seen odd things like that? I do have a ticked with a GM.

As a precautionary measure, it would probably be a good idea to change your passoword just the same if you haven't done so already.

That is definitely weird... it'll be interesting to see what the GM response is.

An ex friend of mine had my pw and all I can think of is that he wanted to try a 70 since he will never get there.

IP addys are logged by bliz, no?

What really makes me wonder is I was leveling my skinning and I was at the same place when I logged in as I was last night. I don't know where the HP and kills came from.

Well, given what you're reporting, it doesn't seem as if you were hacked (and yeah, I figured you probably would have changed your PW by default) ;)

It's possible your friend could have logged to try things out - but that doesn't make total sense if you were right where you remembered you had been previously. I know that if you had been hacked, your toon would have been stripped of all gold, gear, and likely would have been deleted (as that seems to be the M.O. of people that hack accounts).

Either way, it's definitely weird. We'll see what the GM response is.

I was right where I was.

I am concerned about how my daily pvp quest was already acquired. I always do my daily pvp quests.

That is why I was wondering if it was some glitch in the server. I dropped herb last night for skinning and that is what I did. I did a few AV runs but the HP and kills were on yesterdays tally.

Ewww...61 kills and only 700HP? That is not me.

And that's - weird...I suppose your friend could have done BGs, then placed you back where you were.

If he logged on to my account, he is toast.

Well, who I suspect it was..would not do anything to hurt me. Just trying out levels he will never get to. He is a horrid player and perhaps wanted to play a toon that actually is good.

In any event, if his IP is linked in any way to last night on my account, he will be banned, along with his ex wife.

And then again, perhaps this is a glitch with bliz. I have to talk to the GM and get the IP of whomever used my account.

Um... Well, I hope you didn't share your new pw with him. I get that people DO share accounts, but to me it's kind of 'you take the risk, you pay the price.'

This is sweet...I sat with a GM ticket for hours. Never go the pop up box for the issue but my ticket is gone.

Wow, what a lame support system they have.

you can also check your mail. GMs sometimes just mail you a response.

i say it was a info glich. on my hunter i droped a pet, leveled i new pet, then put it in the stable. next day was a maintenance day, and my old pet was back in my stable.

so what i'm saying is if you had that much honor the day you loged off maybe it just didn't reset after the patch.

I hope they perma ban, too. Unfortunately, since the only account they can tie the offense to is yours, I hope you had fun playing while you had the chance. Starting over at level 1 gives you a whole new appreciation for the game.

Sometimes the Daily Kills will move over to the New Day. this all started happening when blizzard changed the Way we gain Honor in resent patch.

By the way... you realize that if you shared your account info yo ucan be banned too? I mean... it takes 2 to play that game...

The only reason they had my PW is because I was unable to log on and I wanted to see if they could.

they probably wont know who logged into your account to play your character. chances are, they probably have no idea how to deal with this besides tell you to change your password and keep it secure. and if you ever have to start over, i'll help you with instance runs and stuff if you roll on my servers. hehe.

Huh? Let's apply some sense. There is only one account being used - yours. You suspect it was logged onto by someone else, at a different IP address, and used to do a BG or two, then your character returned to wherever it was.

Soooo better hope the GM hasn't had extra caffeine, or they will find all this and hey - the only account logged onto was yours... blizzard's first action when they find an account suspected of being hacked is to close it, to protect the user from any further harm.

Hope it was a rollover bug!

blizzard could very well give you a temp ban for giving your password out to a non family member, rthough i doubt very much that this is a case of you being hacked but more like a server reset glitch or maybe you never noticed the time you logged out or did last bg
either way i would have changed my pw and left it at that after a good scan of my pc

don't hold your breath - they won't give you the ip address. if you push it, as has been said, they'll probably temp-ban you. change your password and count yourself lucky that you weren't really hacked.
