Sorry the first post was pretty confusing, i'll admit. What class has everyone here had the most fun leveling? Hopefully that's better:tongue:

There isn't "one leveling tree in every class", and your topic is what class is the most fun, but your question was which was the best.

There are 9 classes, and I bet you'll get about 30 different best choices. I'd say the best is a personal decision, one nobody else can make for you. I've enjoyed leveling every class personally.

I've played:
Mage
Priest
Hunter
Warlock
Druid

and to some extent a Warrior, Pally, and Rogue.

The class that i've had the most fun leveling, and just leveling, not including everything else, but just leveling, would be my druid, second would be my warlock. third would be my mage, and then my hunter. oh and this would probably help too, i level mainly through questing. i try not to grind and i try to give each character their own sets of professions.

if you want to level a character up just for fun, i would say druid and warlock. but it also depends on playstyle. my druid is feral, and my warlock is affliction with lifetap and darkpact with imp. and so... even with the classes, there are talent trees involved that will determine whether you will like the class or not. there's so many different combinations out there, when you have 9 classes and 3 talent trees, and the possibility of mixing up the talent trees..... it gets very complicated.

Elsegundo, that's exactly the response i'm looking for, thank you =] Yeah i was planning on questing and such too, as well as instances. My main is a priest, and he's the only character out of about 12 that i've gotten to 40. Wondering what I should try next.

Got:

Warlock, Rogue, Mage at 70
Priest at 69
Shaman at 66
Druid at 61
Hunter at 61
Warrior at 60
Paladin at 34

I love the warlock and the rogue. Priest is great as dps shadow and healing also. Druid and Shaman are good fun if you can hold it through the dire levels between 20 and 40. The warrior and Paladin are played with slow 2 Handers, definitely not as fun as my rogue. In a fury specc, the warrior may be totally different.

The mage..well..my theory is, you are either a mage or a warlock person. I am a warlock person :)

Hunter is not too bad if you are new to the game....

Mage's are a hell of a lot of fun. Only class I ever got past 60 (due to the boredom of having to level that much...). They just have so many damn awesome spells that can be used whiled PvEing. And teleporting is awesome.

Hi there,

I have a warlock (62) and a warrior (60), and a hunter (30).

I found being a warlock super easy to level (much like a hunter). It's easy to just sent your pet in to grab aggro, and then pew pew/shoot away at the mob. It's pretty quick and safe to level both a warlock/hunter up.

My warrior was great fun to level up (I had her as fury until 50). She killed quickly, and there was minimal down time. (Although I had to be more strategic about my pulls and such, since I was the one taking the beatings and not my pet). At 50 I changed to prot and love it!!

The best question ever asked, ever.

I have / Where they are now.
*70 Priest -- Favorite Leveling toon...I grinded from 30 to 60(preBC)
**70 Warlock -- Good time, moreso once mid 40's..drain tanking all the way til OL than Demo
*70 Rogue -- Boring...dull.. Sin Strike Slice-n-Dice, SS SS SS SS SS next mob
***63 Hunter -- Naked...hasn't had a point of EXP w/out rest since 48...boring dull never play it
***48 Paladin -- PROT...loads of fun to play..but I abandoned him lol
37 Mage -- Frost AOE, lots of fun to play as well, but also never played.
34 Warrior -- Naked..just can't do it.
**30 Paladin -- My most played toon outside of my 3 70s Love this toon
24 Druid -- Don't play ever...fun but not enough

etc etc quite a few 10-30 guys i haven't played in one..maybe 2 years. and a few 19 twinks.

*The 70 Priest/Rogue are on the same server.(Aggramar-US Alliance)
**The 70 Lock/30 Paladin are on the same server.(Mal'Ganis-US Horde)
***The 63 Hunt/48 Paladin are on the same server.(Ghostlands-US Alliance)

The rest are on the same server as my Priest/Rogue i just never play them..they just sit there.

Leveling the 30 Paladin to be a tank on the server as my Warlock...has plenty of gear awaiting her levels.

If I could go back to patch 1.10 i'd still roll my Priest again. Tons of fun in the 49 bracket and 60 preBC PVP melting everything that got to close. :) Ahhh the good ole days.

Depends on what you consider "fun".

Do you want to go through mobs as fast as possible, ripping them apart?
Do you want to never die?
Do you want a large variety of ways to fight to keep things fresh?
Do you want a simple class that is tough?
Do you want to take on multiple mobs at one time?
Do you want to tank or heal endgame? Do you want to do dungeons while leveling or solo?

Answer all of those questions and you might get less than 15 different answers from each person.

Lock and Hunter have been the most fun for me.

I leveled a Pali to L70. I hate it but it serves for a good gold grinder for may alts.

Unfortunately no one here can tell you what the funnest class for you is. You will have to decide yourself by playing each and choosing yourself.

I have
lvl70 priest
lvl70 rogue
lvl70 lock
lvl59 mage
lvl61 shaman
lvl51 pally

- Mage (frost) isn't so much fun, it's very repetitious. It gets a bit better along the way (more skills, AoE killing) but not really exciting.
- Rogue is very fun to play due to stealth and lots of escape options. Stealthing into an instance and kill that particular boss for that particular drop - nothing beats that while levelling!
- Warlock is fun as well (not as rogue though). The challenge is more "how many mobs can I kill at the same time" than any other but yes, they're strong.
- Shaman and pally are a little bit in between. They have self-heals, can kill decently (shammys a little faster), are tough to kill (a pally a bit harder).
- Priest (even though my main) doesn't get very good until around lvl40 and shadowform, before that it's kind of boring. Wouldn't nominate a priest as most fun class to level.

So I'd say rogue for levelling.

Ask what's the most fun class at lvl70 and my answers will be very different.

Good point. Thats what happened with me any my Pali, loved it for leveling but hated end game.

Always consider the end-game role when choosing if you plan on leveling that far.

this is just going to come down to playstyle and what you like from your chars.

if your the in your face damage dealer than you more likely to have fun with the warrior, shaman whatever.
same goes for if you like the caster classes, mage warlock blah blah blah.

ive never been one to really enjoy the leveling grind because i was wanting to get to the pvp as fast as i could.

however leveling my enhanced shaman just flew by, they carve through mobs like sulfuras through butter.

my warrior was fun to level to and extent, but as the levels get longer between each other it tends to get a bit boring imo, though that may have came from leveling as a arms warrior, hadnt really tried fury warrior which is more the pve build.

i dont really think anyone can tell you which toon is most fun to level since its all personal, i mean i had zero fun leveling on my warlock were as others in this thread have stated they liked the warlock.

2 70 Rogues (mutilate) –
You can level without gear upgrade as long as you don’t take on elites.
Pick pocket the whole town if you wish.
Good survival abilities
Good crowd control
Good damage

70 Mage (frost) –
High damage
Good survival abilities
Free water/food
Good crowd control (sheeping)

70 Priest (shadow) –
Make lots of friends – everyone wants a healer friend
OK Crowd control - only good at undead
Healing
Slow runner
Prepare to die a lot (leveling and pvp)

61 Shaman (enhance) –
Damage output is not as good as rogues
Only auto-attack and wait for the WF to proc
Use a lot of mana if solo
Good with group
Healing

70 Hunter – (It is my favorite class at this moment. I am so fond of hunter that I am leveling a horde hunter.)
The best farming class
The exciting, thrill and proud of getting a rare pet
Good crowd control
Good damage
Good survival abilities
Good for PVP

While leveling is easy and fun as a hunter, there are way too many 70 hunters. If you don’t mind competing with many other hunters to get a spot or loot in instances and raids, hunter is a very fun class to roll.

so the question is... what class(es) have YOU had the most fun leveling, regardless of your criterias?
