Hey I was just wondering what was more effective 40-70, paladin aoe grinding, or mage aoe grinding?

I can have really good gear on both since I have a main, I just need to know which one is the best.

is your goal to just level from 40 to 70 and stop? Think about what comes after you Ding 70...pvp, raiding, dpsing, healing, tanking, making tables, bubble hearthing....

Both are VERY effective at AOE grinding. I'd suggest a paladin as everyone wants a Tank in there 5 man groups. DPS is easy to come by. And once your tired of the tanking thing you can respec Holy and heal.

AoE grinding is not that much effective once you hit Outlands. just wanted to point that out.

of course it is, you just have to know where and when and how.

Once you hit Outlands, the first thing you need to change is gear.

All gear should be "of the sorcerer" type if possible, IE +INT, +SP, and Plate all on the same gear.

do the pally. if you're hoping to get the pally answer, then do the pally. its not really much of what we say that really matters. both have their AoE specialties. just have fun with it.

As a Pali, if you pick your mobs carefully and use your seals and judgements well, you will have little down time. I leveled to 69 as prot with "of the Sorcerer" gear.

Get the best shield spike you can get your hands on and if you can find a weapon that grants extra strikes, use it!!!!
