View Full Version : Belkin Nostromo n52te SpeedPad
Has anybody tried the Belkin Nostromo n52te SpeedPad ?
I am concerned about it being compliant with the WOW user agreement - it has some programmable software and i know some interfaces with programmable software can lead to wow banning your account.
Anybody knows about this?
Thanks
I think the issue of programmable keyboards has been addressed on the WoW forums. If I recall correctly, Blizzard was okay with them. You may want to make sure just to be safe.

if you're really concerned, just use the software for keybindings and thats it. use wow itself for macros and such. i only have mine mapped to my keys... 1234567890-= alt and tab, W Q S E on the thumbpad. the rest, macros and all, happen inside the game. though im thinking of chaning the scroll wheel to change action bars, but we'll see how that goes. heck, you even have mouses with 5, 6, or 9 buttons. those need to get programmed somehow right? you'll be fine as long as you dont use the n52te to automate your attacks (ie. press button 2, do a whole series of hits).
There are posts on the official forums about, seems like a lot of people use it or similar products.

i wouldnt see why not. i mean the keyboard was made for typing, and not for playing games. WASD, the number keys going across the keyboard, the offset spacing of the letter keys, the odd places to put the shift, alt and control keys.... no wonder a bunch of us buy things like the n52 and the fang, and the g11, g15 keyboards.

I think the general ruling was using them as a keypress ingame or to activate macros is alright, but programming macros in them that you cant do in the game is wrong.
Alright, thank you guys, I'm gonna give it a try.
