Okay, so, I'll get straight to the point. My friend had played WoW and quit a few months ago. He uninstalled it, and is now trying to reinstall. :azn:.
Anyway, he's having a problem that is apparently not too rare, but doesn't happen that often. We have found some threads about it, and can't find the way to fix it. When he tries to install the game from the CDs, it immediately says that the program has closed because of a problem. (He's on Vista) He eventually found out it had something to do with the Lame MP3 Codec. He tried taking all the files off the CD and running it like that, which apparently helps a lot of people.
It didn't help him at all and it still has the issue where it just closes. Does anyone have any information on this issue, or any ways to fix it? All time and help is appreciated!
AH! Apparently if you delete everything in the temp folder, it might work in rectifying this problem.
If anyone else has the Lame ACM MP3 Codec problem, give this a shot.
