Alright I'd love some insight on this issue. I'ma make this quick. I recently updated my system to a killer one.

intel q9300 at 2.5ghz
4gigz at 1066mhz
vist ult 64bit
9800gtx
xfx 780i mother board

SO heres the issue basically every item i click on gives me a box of red text for 2-5 seconds saying "retriving system information"

Here is a link to what it looks like http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=537128

so as you can see in the photo that is the box of red text I recieve EVERY item i click on in trade channel basically.

I contacted blizzard and they told me that they dont support 64 bit and nothing more basically just said F U and hung up. I contacted my ISP and they said everything is fine.

I ran a tracert and did not see any data packet loss.

So my latency is pretty normal around 180-200 on a server in dallas when i am in washington state.

My connection is id say 12 mbs? Comcast is my ISP

I think the problem may be with my routher a Linksys Wireless WRT54G is the model. My settings for it are as followed my MTU is set to 1400 and max connections are at 100 persons the UNpC or what ever is set to open.

This latency is not shown in the bar its just a delay on everything I do. I attempted joining a Washington based server and got about a 12 ms but the problem still occurred.

So I really have no idea whats going on

And i know its not 64bit because this happened on 32 bit 2 before i updated from it to 64 (got full vist ult)

I really dont know what to do and am very lost right now any help would be appreciated.

Seeing that WoW runs on much "lesser" systems and lag for most ppl is related to places like Ironforge and Shattrath with many other characters, I'd say this is rather connection related.

But it is only a guess and have never experienced anything like you describe. Possibly the folks in the Techforum of this site could help better?

As you said i cant see it being vista 64 bit related, I'm running vista ultimate 64bit as well and had no problems so far

I've seen this, but given a second or so, it loads. Never does it not load. Weird for you that it doesn't

Moving this thread to the Technical forum, as it is a technical issue.

Does your motherboard NIC have proper Vista drivers, not just the Nvidia chipset but the actual onboard NIC itself? for some components on the motherboard it takes more than just the chipset drivers to get them running properly. As it appeared with a major hardware change it is likely that a perticular peice of hardware is malfunctioning, usually down to an inproper software-hardware interfacing (AKA Driver) than a certain peice of hardware being faulty, though both are possible.

What is the exact NIC that you have, and the driver version that you are running?

nVidia nForce networking controller.

driver version is 67.7.6.0

date on it is 1/29/08 but when i scan for updates none are avaliable

also i went to nVidia and downloaded all the new drivers for nForce software again just now to see if any changed but they did not and the issue is still occurring.

If any of you had looked at the screenshot it doesnt say "retrieving system information" like the op said, it says "retrieving Item information" If your running any addons I would try disabling them, also could be a quirk of 64 bit windows.

I would also try deleting your cache files, they may be corrupt.

Yeah, addons would be my first thought here.

I'd suggest rummaging around for an old PCI NIC, get that installed into the case, and see if that is still having the problem. That would pretty much rule out that potential minefield of problems, or maybe even solve the issue if that is the cause.
