Hi Guys, I'm sure I'll be able to easily assemble my PC now. I have a few questions though.

1. Our old LCD monitor is very dirty. What should I use to keep my new one clean and clean our old one too while I'm at it. I hear alot of talk about microfiber cloth or sumthin and others claiming store bought cleaners. I trust y'alls opinions though so I thought I'd ask y'all. :)

2. If I want to wall mount my surrond sound speakers, do I just nail a board on the wall and put them on it? Lol, I thought I would throw this question in while I was asking about the screen.

3. What's so good about having an expensive G15 keyboard?

First turn your monitor off (at the wall preferably).

You should use a soft cloth or paper tissue (a good quality soft one like a Cleenex which won't break apart). A glasses cleaning cloth is good because you know it's designed not to scratch things. First use it dry and wipe away any dust on the screen, don't push too hard (easier to use a tissue for this since you can just throw it away rather than trying to clean the cloth afterwards). If there are lots of fingerprints or harder to remove dirt then you can use a very small amount of water on the cloth so it is slightly damp and again wipe slowly and gently to get them off.

LCD manufacturer's will tell you never to use water on the screen because it can damage it. But a lightly damp cloth is generally fine, just make sure you wipe any smears away after with a dry cloth/tissue and obviously don't get any water down the sides of the screen. But I have to say that you put water on your screen at your own risk.

Never use generic cleaning fluid, polish, alcohol, bleach, etc!!

Alternatively you can buy proper cleaning solutions for LCD screens. Ask in your local computer/camera shop, they can sell you a little bottle of fluid that you can apply to a soft cloth/tissue and wipe away the dirt/marks. Again, use a dry cloth/tissue afterwards to remove it.

It depends on the speakers as to how you mount them. Most have a hole on the back that you can hang them from, they may even come with a special bracket, check the instructions.

The G15 provides extra keys that you can link to macros/spells/whatever and a little screen that can provide some extra always-visible data.

Depending the the weight, any type of mounting bracket will work. It is like a screw with a metal or plastic sleeve over it. You hammer the sleeve in and then screw in the screw. As you do that, the sleeve (on the other side of the wall) spreads out against the wall and braces any weight put on the screw by distributing the weight.

Overall, a decent bit IF, and this is a big IF, you use all of its' special functions. If you mostly use keybinding in WoW and make your own macro's, then it isn't worth the cost in any way shape or form.

If you take full advantage (and only if you do so) constantly would I consider it worth the cost.

if the speakers are small enough... just use double-sided mounting tape.
or, if its small enough still, just screw it on to the wall. look at the back of the speaker to make sure you can do that. are you saying you want to nail a board to the wall as a "shelf" for the speaker?

i dont konw how to clean my monitor. =[

g15 keyboards help you with more keys. but you can get a merk (or merc) and it has somewhat the same keys. i have a nostromo n52. they have the n52te now. its wonderful for wow and other games.

Very informative. I sadly only have a few keybindings, which are all on my mouse because I click my abilities. :( I guess I don't need the G15 or something similar....yet.

Phew, I didn't know they had thongs in the back to put the speakers on the wall. Or that bracket thing. That's alot better than a homemade wood shelf :P.
Our older LCD is very, very dirty. You can see the spots , dirt, and etc. when the screen is ON. It's going to need alot more then water.

I have seen a local computer shop though. So, I will ask them about LCD cleaning fluid.

Thank you. :)
