New computer. Yes, it's Vista.

When installing, I get to approx. 12% complete, then I receive this message:

The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Data\common.MPQ : Tileset\Expansion01\BladesEdge\BladesEdgeDirt05_s.blp" could not be written. If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (MPQTarget::DoMPQCopy)

Let's see... specs on computer:

Gateway
AMD Phenom 9100e Quad Core Processor 1.80 GHz
4.0 MB RAM

Hannspree monitor

Vista is Home Premium with Service Pack 1

Yes, it's on a network

Help?

Hmm, I take it you're installing from a CD?

Also, I think you must have 4 Gigabytes of RAM, not 4 Megabytes (XP won't even run on that, let alone Vista or WoW).

Try copying the contents of the CD onto a directory on your main hard drive and install it by using the main executable inside this new directory. Hopefully this should fix the problem, but if it doesn't we'll have to fetch an online version to download and install that.

If you don't fix it by copying the files to the hdd then go to http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors and download the client from there.

Make sure you're on an Administrator account too, Vista can be picky about installers.
