Should I take my 12 year old to Blizzcon?

He can wait in line patiently.... and loves Blizzards games.

Also, Are there people around 12 years old there?

Thanks.

There are some kids and last year that had an inflatable nerf jousting ring.

However... most of Blizzcon are panels and other fairly passive things. They had Wrath stations last year, but you couldn't sit and play for hours. Also it's sold out, so if you don't have tickets it's moot.

I for one think you'd be better of not taking your twelve-year old even if he likes the Blizzard games. If there's one thing kids don't like, it's walking around all day without anything to do. So if there's not a kiddie-corner, I don't think your son is gonna be happy just walking around and looking at stuff.

And, as Clevins said, it's completely sold out, so if you don't have the tickets already, it's a big 'too bad, too late'-fest.

I don't know what 'bump for hope' means. It's sold out. If you don't have tickets, you're not getting any, so the issue's dead. Nothing to do with hope.

If you just want someone to say 'take your 12yo' without regard to what Blizzcon's really like... why post? I gave you my impression based on last year's - Blizzcon is NOT full of game stations where you can play for hours. There are usually panels where they talk about the game, demos, and sometimes competitions (Starcraft and Arena matches last year). I wouldn't be surprised if there were playable stations for SC2, Wrath and even D3, but they don't let you sit there for hours... it's usually 15 mins or so, then they ask you to move on so others can play.
