My buddy and I just picked up the game. We want to be able to quest together as much as possible but we want different starting races. He rolled a Blood Elf and I rolled an Orc. How long would it take us till we are in the same areas questing together? What if I rerolled another character on the same land mass such as a Forsaken? How long on average would it take us to meet up and start bumming around together. I don't really want to be a Blood Elf.

He'll be forced out of the ghostlands at about lvl 20. But you can go to him, or he can come to you at about lvl 5. (i suggest you go to him, ghostlands eversong woods leveling is better than durotar) You should be able to make it there easily by the time you can make it to Orgrimmar. From Orgrimmar, take the zeppelin to uc. Go inside the courtyard, to your right is an open door... and the "Orb of Translocation" click on it, and you're in the belf capital.

i agree.

and you can run straight to the zeppelin tower without leveling at all.

the quests in Eversong woods and ghostlands are more interesting IMO, the quests in Durotar are pretty formulaic

if you're a shaman you should do the shaman quest in the valley of trials before leaving.

you'll both be leveling in the Barrens sooner or later.

Chuck Norris Chat FTW :P

Not if you do ghostlands. You can hit 21ish in ghostlands and then go straight to ashenvale, stonetalon, maybe even 1k needles if you are always grouped.
