I'm at the point where I need Omen. I guess that's a good thing in a way.

My problem is I can't get it to work. I have several Add Ons that do work. I get a message in big blue letters when I've drawn agro from a boss or raid mob but I don't know if that message is from Omen or another addon. I only have Deadly Boss, Auctioneer, VR Alarm and Solarium Alarm (and Omen).

I don't know if the blue warning is from Omen or not but by the time I see that msg, it's pretty much to late because I'm about to get scrunched.

I've downloaded this twice so far and guildies say there is some sort of panel I can use to see and monitor my threat levels. They often tell other raid members to "watch your threat" but they can't see mine. They say there is supposed to be some button on the mini map I can use but I don't get one.

Here is what I've done. I've gone to C??se.com (edited because I don't know if it's welcome here), downloaded the Omen Addon. Then I unzip the file, open program files, wOW, Interface and place the Omen Folder in that file. That should be it right? Last night before Kara, I logged out to check add ons and I don't see Omen as an active Add On.

Thanks in advance.

Place Omen folders in the Interface\Addons folder, not the Interface folder.

you'll see an orange button on your minimap. that's the one for omen.

also, if your party cannot see your threat levels, it means your omen is broken or not installed right. blue text on screen is not from omen. i think omen uses red text.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I do have Omen2 in the Add On's folder so that's not the problem. I do not have an orange button on my mini map. One thing I did notice last night checking Add ons was I have Omen 2. Is that the correct name or do I have something different?

Thanks

I logged out to check add ons and I don't see Omen as an active Add On. This is an indiciation that it's installed incorrectly. Find the file called Omen.toc. It should have the following path:

<WoWRoot>\Interface\Addons\Omen\Omen.toc

Where <WoWRoot> is your World of Warcraft installlation directory, typically C:\Program Files\World of Wacraft\ or similar.

It is likely you have an extra folder somewhere in the path such as a duplicated Interface, Addons, or Omen folder, which is meaning WoW cannot see it.

Latest Omen build is always available at Wowace, here (www.wowace.com/files/Omen/Omen.zip).

Also note that there is a specific forum for this kind of discussion here (http://www.worldofwar.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=107).

Check your addons (left corner button on character selection screen).

Is omen listed there ? Is it red ?

In game, hit /Omen Toggle to see if that does anything.

Furthermore, I am not 100% sure Curse has the latest version or whether they have multiple version. I download it from files.wowace.com
I do remember reading something about them shipping over to Curse, so it might well be the latest version.

Are other people using KLH Threat Meter instead ?

sometimes the omen mini-map button "spawns" underneath other buttons and cannot be seen. when that happens, i have not figured out how to access it other than by /chat command or resetting the entire game interface which is a major inconvenience.

Thanks All,

I got it working. My problem was that when I d/l'd the file, I use IZARC to unzip and I wasn't unzipping all of the files. Now that I have all of the files, Add On is good to go.

Thanks again.
