I had to do a sytem restore on my comp and now have started downloading the patches, the problem is is the downloader keeps saying that the comp is behind a firewall. I have went to Blizzard and done the fixes for Firewall and for the router and it keeps saying behind a firewall. it has now been almost 40 hours and I am still only at 50%, I don't know what else to try to get the speed going. When I first did all this when I got the comp it only took about 4 hours to do all the patches and can't understand why it is not working this time.

Easiest option is just to use an HTTP or FTP mirror (http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors).

Seconded, the blizzard downloader is poo. I disabled it long long ago and get the updates at decent speed from a mirror.

Same. UK ISPs have horrible upload bandwidth, I can't do heavy P2P without proper regulation without upsetting my ISP. A straight, clean download, suprising Blizzard can't provide that as a secondary option themselves.
