How Do I Turn This Feature Back On?

Ingame I had this feature (not an AddOn) that worked as follows:

Whenever I scrolled over a piece of armour or a weapon, it would show that item's details plus what I'm currently wielding/wearing. Now though, it only shows the info about the item I scroll over & doesn't mention anything about the item I'm wielding/wearing.

I must have turned it off somehow. Is there any way to turn this feature back on?

I'm not familiar with an ingame feature that does that. RatingsBuster and DrDamage are addons that do it...

I found out how, you hold Shift down whilst scrolling over an item.

yes, holding the shift key will compare your currently equipped item to that which you are mousing over. ctrl+left click will show your character with the item equipped in the "dressing room".
