I've seen this around, I assume it's something to do with Brewfest, but would anyone care to elaborate?

yeah, it is a mount that drops from the brewfest event. just like the ram last year. the ram still drops bw, get them while they are hot :)

um... they didnt drop last year, last year you had to get something like 600 tokens and hand them in for the ram.

this year yo gotta goto BRD and kill the brewfest boss in there via a daily quest, the drops for the ram and kodo are stupid low ive only seen the kodo drop no rams (but i was lucky enough to win the kodo :)).

oops sry didnt know about last year, wasnt interested in it back then :)

this year i went to BRD once, with my priest. 1st time we faught him he dropped the healer trinket ( mine yay ), 2nd time he dropped the spelldamage caster trinket ( yep, mine again ) and the 3th time he dropped the ram ( yeah, i won again... ) ^^

guess i was lucky that day ^^

I've done 5 fights every day since the start of Brewfest. So far I've seen one ram and one kodo (both on the same run...). I have no idea whether this reflects the actual droprate, or whether I'm very unlucky...

The drop rate seems rather generous yeah, done it 3 times now every time I seen a mount drop (2 kodo's 1 ram)

That is not typical for most runs or players, you have just been very lucky. The drop rate has been confirmed to be about a 8% chance to drop either, therefore about a 4% chance to drop one of the mounts per attempt. So far I've done about 30 attempts or so without a single mount.

meaning that if you go in with a normal group where all 5 players have the quest open, you have a 40% chance to see a mount drop per 5 tries. guess i was lucky ^^
